I'm glad about that! But, I've had this weirdly sore heel for a couple of weeks now (same foot). I've had it before, mostly because I've stepped on something, but I don't remember stepping on anything and it is lasting longer than it usually seems to (and it usually does last quite a while). It is on the bottom of my heel, towards the back and is always just there, even when I'm sitting with my feet resting on the floor. The soreness doesn't radiate. It is not terrible at all, I guess you'd really call it "discomfort" instead of "pain," and doesn't interfere with anything I want to do, including high impact cardio but I am aware of it. My comfy cross trainers and orthotics don't seem to be doing anything to help it. It has been a few years easily since I've gotten new orthotics so I'm thinking a visit to the podiatrist might be warranted to have him check it out and possibly get me new orthotics but I'm wondering if this sounds familiar to anyone or if there's any suggestions for what else I can do to make it go away. Guest guest
Hmm.. I wonder what that is - do you think it could be related to your calf muscles? Maybe try to stretch your calf muscles to see if it makes a difference?Donna Subject: heel painTo: exercisevideos Date: Friday, October 7, 2011, 8:03 AM Okay, so the weird pain in my foot is gone (that was on the bottom, near the top, far from my heel). Guest guest
I think it's a great idea to see a podiatrist. Hopefully you'll hear it isn't anything to worry about, but its also better to catch things early. Feet are so difficult to heal if you let things go. Okay, so the weird pain in my foot is gone (that was on the bottom, near the top, far from my heel). I'm glad about that! Guest guest
I dunno, I doubt it because it isn't like it is a muscle pain or my achilles tendon area. It is the padded area of the heel itself. Not that extra stretching would be a bad thing though! It is better today but not gone. I am also shoeless since about 2 this afternoon though because I had my carpets cleaned today so we'll see if it gets any worse without the support of my shoes. Thanks, Donna! heel painTo: exercisevideos Date: Friday, October 7, 2011, 8:03 AM Okay, so the weird pain in my foot is gone (that was on the bottom, near the top, far from my heel). Guest guest
I hope it's not plantar fasciitis! It's a pain that manifests itself in the heel. I had it and it took forever to heal  hugs.

Guest guest
Unfortunately, it sounds to me like it is... but I'm not a doctor. I've had it for a long time, too, although it has bothered me LESS since I really started working out. Hold the calf stretches for over 30 seconds. That always helped my PF. Guest guest
If it is PF get a deep tissue massage for the feet. It will hurt like hell while they are doing it, but it will help in the long run. My kinesiology professor did it on mine in class and it was gone the next day! He said it normally takes a few treatments though.TonyaIndyrose & lt;indyrose@... & gt; wrote: Unfortunately, it sounds to me like it is... but I'm not a doctor. Guest guest
Could it be bruised? Bone bruises don't radiate and can come about in ways you might not notice when it happens. I bruised my shoulder once (doing Pilates rolls), I didn't feel it when I bruised the shoulder but when the blood set into the bone I thought I'd cracked it. Ultimately I had to just wait it out, you might want to ice your heel and see if that gives you any relief. Guest guest
It has gotten better since yesterday, maybe my posting about it scared it away? :-) It is still there, but not so much. I still might call the doc anyway, especially if it hurts more when I wear my dress shoes again (probably next week). Re: heel pain I think it's a great idea to see a podiatrist.
