Guest guest
I'm sorry to hear about your situation PJ. I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Asking for Prayers, Please Hello All, I'm writing to ask for prayers for the next 24-48 hours from you guys if you wouldn't mind. Tomorrow (Wednesday) is the day I find out more about my diagnosis from the rheumatologist and I'm very nervous and fearful. Also, on Thursday I go back to the orthopedic surgeon for my herniated disks to discuss that health problem. I've been in and out of dr.'s offices, x-rays, labs, MRI's, etc. for about 2 months now. It is down to the wire, and I will finally get to find out the outcome about my road ahead. Guess I could use some extra strength and courage to face whatever I'll be asked to face. Some of the possible diagnoses my dr. has mentioned are: Lupus -- discoid or SLE, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylosis, scleroderma, Sjogren's Syndrome, etc. and many of these come equipped with possible heart, lung, and kidney problems -- some of which could be very serious. I'm 47, and in a tremendous amount of pain all the time. I already have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia (for the past few years), and several herniated disks (in the past month or two); but now will find out more regarding my health. I apologize for seeming to whine and complain here. I'm a super positive, fairly dynamic person, who has had my share of ups and downs, and have always learned from life's experiences, and have bounced back. But, we've had so many difficulties in my immediate family the past several months that I'm feeling worn out and exhausted, and not " up " to having to deal with too much more at this point. I hope those of you who know me understand, and those who don't, can find compassion in your heart to pray for me as well. I'm a medical transcription student (online), who has basically had to put my school coursework on hold for several months now, and I need to hurry up and finish my coursework so I can go back to work -- SOON. I have 3 kids, 2 dogs, and am married. I'm hopeful to be able to find a diagnosis for the extreme pain, extreme fatigue, insomnia, and other assorted multiple ailments I deal with on a daily basis. But, on the other hand, this is one of those times in life, where I already am feeling a little defeated due to such fatigue and pain, and am not sure how much more I can endure right now. Anyway, I'd so greatly appreciate any prayers you guys can give on my behalf, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart -- ahead of time for your graciousness and kindness and love. Love & hugs, PJ owner/moderator of Affirmations to De-Stress

Guest guest
Thank you so much, ! (oh, and I took you off moderated status, so you can post easier -- I really thought I had already done it, but my mind must be slipping some). Thanks again, PJ scottsincrediblebooks wrote: I'm sorry to hear about your situation PJ. I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Guest guest
PJ, Hey back : ) I have been too blah and sore to write too. I start to write and get lost in all of the quotes that have been posted the last few days LOL I was diagnosed yesterday with Fibromyalgia, and I am in the middle of a wonderful flare. They are running further tests for the Lupus. Rheumatoid Arthritis has been ruled out! LOL Okay, I am still sore from the appointment yesterday, but I got a Fibromyalgia diagnosis that I can take back to my conservative doc...so I am so happy! Now, I just need to get through this flare and the wait for the Lupus test results LOL Please keep praying for me, I truly appreciate it. I have final exams and my childrens' homeschool review to get through this week and next...and you know how stress amps up these symptoms : ) RE: Asking for Prayers, Please , Hey, Girl. Guest guest
Hey, Andie! Sorry to hear about the diagnosis -- however, it can be a relief, when you feel so bad, and the docs say, " it's all in your head " . That isn't too comforting! So when you look at it that way, it is great to be able to put a name to the pain!!! Let me know about the lupus! And if you need any book recommendations on fibromyalgia. Have had that several years, and kinda know about it. Stress can definitely make it much worse. Particularly if you are already having a flare up! So relax when you can. Take a short catnap when you can. Take some slow deep breaths, and tell yourself that " all is well. " And try to believe it, and this too shall pass! I know, I can give advice, but I don't always do it myself!! Silly me! Very glad to hear you have a diagnosis and that you are trying to hang in there. Feel free to email me personally if you have any questions on the fibromyalgia, treatment, books, medications, etc. I'd be more than happy to help! Guest guest
Hello !! I've been wondering where you you've been lately! Have missed you alot! You will have to fill us in on what's new -- would love to hear! I'm doing some better now as I have my diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis and am on medication for it. However, this morning I've gotten an old-fashioned stomach ache or belly ache, and I'm wondering if it is being caused by the new medication, as that is one of the side effects. I'm on methrotexate (a " chemo " drug), but the dose is low and it is only taken once each WEEK, not each day!! But, still ...I may go lie down and see if a nap might help some. Very glad to hear from you again!! Have a super weekend! Hugs, PJ Cole wrote: PJ, How are ya doin??? I haven't been on much....alot going on here...bore you with that later!
