Guest guest Posted May 14, 2003 Report Share Posted May 14, 2003 When my 4 year old son's Zoloft was increased, he started needing alot of oral stimulation. He started putting lots of things in his mouth. Last week he actually put a screw in his mouth (1 inch blunt end). He got choked, (called 911) but eventually swallowed it. The x-ray (2 hours later) showed it to be in the first foot of his lower intestines. The doctor said he thought it would come out but couldn't guess when. I have the job of going through his poop each day ( he has been going at least once or twice a day). It's been a week now and he still has not passed it. Has anyone gone through somthing like this? How long did it take to pass? I am worried because if it does not come out, they will have to go in with a scope and get it out. Any body been there done that?
