Guest guest
Hi Everyone, For today I did Metcalf's Keeping Fit - Strength workout. Another winner! I'm glad I picked up this 3 pack, so far I enjoyed the cardio workout and now the strength workout. This one is also formatted with 10 five-minute segments - but again, it isn't programmable the way the 10 Min Solution DVDs are. There are chapter points for each segment, but no way to really "program" it to play in any particular order and if you wanted to mix and match you would have to keep going back to the main menu to select another chapter. But, tech stuff aside, this is a good workout - especially if you like doing combined/compound moves. often incorporates upper and lower body together. It is more endurance based as you will do more reps with lighter weights, some of the segments will raise your HR quite a bit! There is a segment that works on balance and also a nice plank and floorwork segment at the end. By the time we got to plank work my arms and body were just fatigued (and sweaty from the heat!) so I found them more challenging than if I did them fresh. There is also a short warm-up and cool-down. The music is pretty good in this one as well as the cardio - some vocal tunes.Afterwards I did Slim & Limber for 15 min of stretching. I wanted to do yoga but a bit short on time. Hope everyone has a good Wed!Donna
