Guest guest
Dear , I am so sorry for your family and Hannah. You must be going trough a very hard time and I wish you all the strenght neccesary. I do hope that by the time you read this Hannah is doing better again and you do not really have to make a decision about her life. There is nothing I can do for you even if I wish I could. Hang in there and know that there are many people who think of you and wish you only good for the future. Wish you all the best, Bianca GAVAN J. Guest guest
There are no words in the world that could possibly ease your pain and frustration at this time. All we can say is that we went through the exact same thing with our . We had to make the best decision and we feel we made the right one. We could not handle watching her go down hill , as she sank further and further to the point that she didn't even seem at peace with her own physical body. (i.e., gasping, crying, irritable, holding her breath, turning blue, swelling up, vomiting, sweating, didn't even like to be touched) She is now resting comfortably in arms of the angels. This is was our decision and only ours, never to be mistaken as our opinion. I wanted to share it with you because we can really feel the emotional roller coaster and to have make the most difficult decision in your entire life. We will pray that you have the best support and help in your surroundings and that you will feel that any decision you make will be the right one. You will be in our thoughts and hearts. Guest guest
, I am so sorry to hear that Hannah is not doing well. Do they know what is causing her to have this problem? Please keep us updated on her condition. We will be thinking of you and have you in our prayers. Remember, take your meds, sleep and don't forget to eat. Love, and Kennedy >(Saturday night) > >Hannah was admitted to ICU this afternoon, with serious obstructive >breathing. Guest guest
Dear , I am so sorry that Hannah's troubles have worsened. Sometimes this seems like a never ending, snow balling nightmare. I wish I could tell you something to make you feel better, but the only thing I know to say is that I know how hard this is, and I know exactly what you're going through. Try to take care of yourself. Love, Hannah now in ICU > (Saturday night) > > Hannah was admitted to ICU this afternoon, with serious obstructive > breathing. The problem stems from her floppy pharynx, which is probably part of her overall poor tone (CP). When her airway is partly collapsed, obviously she cant get enough air and that distresses her. This in turn causes the airway to collapse even more, so the fight for a breath becomes greater. The solution thus far has been BiPAP, CPAP, and now a nasopharygeal tube, but none of these are permanent solutions, so we will be discussing alternatives in the next few days I guess. They just want to stabilise her first. We have been told about jaw surgery, tongue surgery and tracheostomy, none of which sound good. Thanks for your concern. I am remembering my meds, and I am remembering to sleep (its not always good sleep though). I am most certainly not forgetting to eat, but not necessarily eating the right things ...... mostly comfort foods. I figure the stress will compensate, LOL.
