Have been where you are in the divorce dept and re-married now. Have 5 kids at home age 16 to 18 months old but sounds worse than it is. Have lots of help from dh and ex-dh. I have fibromyalgia/chronic fatigue but mainly a milder case. My ex worked nights for many years like you. Not easy. Who helps you with your special needs child? But we don't see the connection there that it is BECAUSE we think it, that it happens. We are more powerful than we believe. CSurf88@... Long story short - For reasons that are not excuses, 8 yrs ago, I made some very bad choices. I spiralled down into a very dark period in my life - alcoholism, back-to-back marriages, legal difficulties....a MESS. With the help of my church (I attend Unity, although I am ordained in the Church of St. Christians) I pulled myself up and out of the hole I'd dug for myself. I am now in the process of rebuilding a happy, healthy, spirit-connected life. The consequences I am paying for those mistakes are close to unbearable. I need support, prayer, and simply good ideas to help me deal with rebuilding my life and diminishing regret and shame. 3) What type of group are you looking for, & what do you expect to get out of this group? I am interested in all philosophies and in spiritual insight. I am a student of A Course In Miracles, which is how I found this group. I am looking for general discussion of idealogies and New Thought methods of dealing with life's ups and downs, and also support. In getting out of the bad space I had to let go mostly everyone I knew (NOT family)...I am lonely now, and haven't made many healthy new friends yet. I would like the opportunity to share, gain comfort from, and comfort like-minded folks. 4) What resources, knowledge, or experience do you feel that you can contribute back to this group? Well, I have a BA in Philosophy and spent 6 years in seminary to become an ordained priest with the Church of St. Christians. In that time I also studied kaballah extensively. I have been a member of Unity Church for 15 yrs, and have stayed very current in New Thought literature and ideology.
