Guest guest
I don't know - I found that if you smile all the time, people think you're nice. So I do it, but it's pretty much a façade because I do it habitually, whether or not I am happy. So either NOBODY knows what to do (but all those kids in the hallway seem to know) or you may be on the spectrum. Take the test - I will post it to the files section. This is the article that put me on the path to knowing I was different. Thanks, Dave Dave Asprey dave@... www.asprey.net >>>>>>>>>>Message: 1 Date: Thu, 13 Feb 2003 12:50:48 -0600 From: " on " <jmorriso@...> Subject: eye contact <<I still don't know the " rules " for eye contact when you walk down a hallway past someone.>> Oh my gosh, did that hit the nail on the head for me...what are those rules??? Could NEVER figure them out, especially between periods in high school, with those crowds...do you meet gazes? Smile? Say hello? Nod? Ignore them? I STILL don't know! All you Asperger's adults out there, tell me more, is it possible I could actually be on the spectrum? M
Guest guest
I went yesterday and spoke with one of the Representative's aides here about IDEA. This is a legislator who is VERY supportive of our issues. The aide has a niece with DS :-) She said that I was the FIRST person to contact them about the bill! She asked where are all the other advocacy groups? I asked about people calling etc after today. She said to please keep calling and writing about this bill. Ask them to support the bi-partisan bill that Sen. Kennedy is working on in the Senate. She said we should start now working on our Senators! M. I am looking for the House rep and i keep getting the congressperson- when i clicked on HR 1350, the same congressperson that i contacted today came up as the person to contact. >>
Guest guest
Does anyone have any idea when Dr. Goldberg will start seeing new patients again. Also I called in to request 2 packets for my kids but still no packets or response. Please help. I have gotten all the blood work done that is required by Dr.Goldberg with the exception of the allergy test. I am getting everything together because I would like my kids to be on that list when he starts seeing new patients again. Please Help. Guest guest
OK this may be a silly question, but we want to start too- kind of desperate 7yr old seems to be the cut off stage for kids who don't show " enough " progress... where did you get the lists of tests required and how do you get started. --------------------------------- Responsibility for the content of this message lies strictly with the original author, and is not necessarily endorsed by or the opinion of the Research Institute. ###################################
Guest guest
This is not the case. I am aware of children who have started at a later age who have benefited - I'm sure someone will chime in here on this Re: Digest Number 1679 Are you saying that if you start the protocol after age 7, it is too late? ______________________________ `````````````````````````````` Responsibility for the content of this message lies strictly with the original author, and is not necessarily endorsed by or the opinion of the Research Institute. ######################################
Guest guest
I'll chime in! My son started at 10 y.o., and we've seen improvements (improved speech, new appropriate behaviors, etc.) Heidi Re: Digest Number 1679 Are you saying that if you start the protocol after age 7, it is too late? ______________________________ `````````````````````````````` Responsibility for the content of this message lies strictly with the original author, and is not necessarily endorsed by or the opinion of the Research Institute. ###################################### Responsibility for the content of this message lies strictly with the original author, and is not necessarily endorsed by or the opinion of the Research Institute. Guest guest
Terri, Read the book, " The Endometriosis Handbook " . Stop using all bleached paper products. They contain dioxin. This includes regular tampons, pads, paper towels, paper plates, coffee filters, etc. Buy the European kind of feminine products. Go vegetarian for awhile to get rid of more dioxin. It is the culprit. Also do the parasite cleanse.
