Guest guest
It really depends, from my experience, if the lungs are clear. At certain times of year, it's very difficult to see a patient that doesn't have some sort of sniffle, etc. Good luck and I'll be praying that you will be able to go ahead and get that MRI.... Please let me know how it goes. - Noelle's mommy, 3 years oldRochester NYCasted 8 times for 1 1/2 years and in first brace!reflux, mild plagiocephaly, mild torticollos, hypotonia, ligament laxity, suspected Ehler's Danlos III Subject: Sedation and coldsTo: infantile_scoliosis Date: Wednesday, March 17, 2010, 2:28 AM I'm a bit worried about Doc's MRI getting canceled. He already has to have special sedation procedures (because of his allergies) and now, on top of everything, he's got a cold and small cough/runny nose. It doesn't seem like he's got a fever and he's just as energetic as ever.Think they'll cancel on me? If they do, then everything- and I mean everything-has to be rescheduled.a

Guest guest
Hi a, Yes, as has already said, it depends. We had several cast dates when Todd had a cold, but never had a real problem. You could get your pediatrician to check him out beforehand. Ultimately, it will depend upon the anesthesiologist. They always told us that " The Books " say to wait something like 3 months post-congestion, but that they could never do that for real or nobody would ever get anything done! They also told us each time that there are times when every single kid going into the OR has some sort of congestion, and there are some kids who always have some congestion. They always listened carefully to Todd's lungs to make their decision. Good luck, and I hope it will all come together (stay together?) for you! , Mommy to Todd It really depends, from my experience, if the lungs are clear.
