Dear Marty,

sorry to hear that you were up with pain. Yes, I too also experience pain

usually before a weather change, but it seems that I have more pain, once the

weather is here. I cannot explain it, but when I am going to " flare " and I

mean, really go into a " flare " ....something weird triggers off inside of my

body. For instance, I can be fine now talking to you, but an hour from now, I

can get this very strange feeling that runs through my body, it sounds stupid,

but almost a feeling of my " floating " outside my body and I am watching

myself.....okay....no...I don't need psychiatric help....lol....it's just a

weird feeling of not " being me " ....I feel very different and I know that I need

to go lie down, soon after that 99.9% of the time, I start the chills, and my

high fevers and the swelling really sets in and usually within 24-48 hours, I am

in a full blown " flare " . As for weather, like a lot of others, my hands seem

to swell in the cold, and it is really tough to keep my feet warm for some

reason. Does this sound at all familiar to anyone? I experience the cold feet

thing a lot and wear slippers and double socks a lot when I am home. The heat,

I tend to hold a lot of water and will take water pills at times to lose some of

the extra pounds. Now, I am not telling anyone to do this, this is just what I

do. I get very puffy in the warm weather and a lot of my pain is usually on my

left side also Marty, so you are not alone. For the last week, I have been

having horrible back pain when I sleep, and it's all on my left side. I have

had trouble sleeping again. I should of come down stairs and looked at my

computer last night, we could of kept each other company for a while. Well,

hopefully you are getting some make-up rest today Marty. Be well and talk to

you soon.

Love, sue #2

Sue #2,

It's interesting to hear that your pain in on your left side. I've had

Stills for nearly five years and except for the onset, my pain has

consistently been on my left side. Does your doc say anything about it?

Mine did one of those " hummm, interesting! " but I have no idea what that

meant. Perhaps he didn't either! Love, Barb

Hey, count me in on the L-sided pain too. Told my docs, and they just said

" hmmm... " That was so comforting (joking)! I do have it bilaterally (both

sides) in my knees (but then, I used to be a dancer, and I think that wore out

my knees equally doing that).
