Guest guest
Dear Celia, Welcome, hope this site helps you! Can I ask what type of abuse did or do you suffer from? Do you think that the misdiagnosed Aspergers led to the abuse? I have learned that a lot of adults who were not properly diagnosed were treated cruelly as children because of a lack of understanding. What a shame as these children are so innocent and trusting. Sorry to hear about all of your medical problems maybe the protocol will work for you. ---- Original Message ----- From: celia Sent: Tuesday, July 01, 2003 4:54 PM Subject: NEW MEMBER. Guest guest
Hi and everyone who has welcomed me, I am a bit overwhelmed by all of the information. It is so shocking. I am hoping to find out which supplements are recommended and which are not. I do take a lot already, some because I feel better when I take them, and some to keep from catching viruses and resistant bacteria from patients. It is quite clear to me my immune system has a problem. Some of the abuses from physicians were things like, " there is something wrong when a healthy young woman focuses on all these physical symptoms " , " your problem is you know too much about these things " (something an aspie will never understand), when I went to a GI doctor with n/v/diarrhea his response was, " if you have diarrhea take immodium " in a very irritated tone. I said ,gee I would have never thought of that, thanks for your expertice. With one doctor, every time I told him one of my strange symptoms would say, " have we cat scanned your brain lately? " I am pretty ill right now, n/v,headaches,trying to rest and research on line what might help. Thanks for all the information.Celia. Guest guest
Celia ~ My heart goes out to you in a big way. Myself, the mother of a child diagnosed with PDD/Autism at age 3, and a victim of CFS; Chronic Fatigue, was classified a " hypnochondriac " . I totally sympathize with you. If SOMEONE would have checked simply my alpha interferon, I may have had some help and my daughter wouldn't have been born with this so - called autism. I would begin the day with a flat abdomen, and by the time I got home from work I felt like I was four months pregnant. Eliminating all carbs (except for green vegetables) and sugars of any kind, including fruits, pretty much took care of the problem. I've been on the diet for over a year now, and I still can't add any kind of beans or lentils (the 1/4 that is in theory allowed after a while) without having instant bloating. As long as I stay on the diet VERY strictly, I have no problems. I did an " experiment " this week. I ate three carrot sticks and four black olives to see what would happen. A modest amount, one would think. My stomach swelled up immediately, I felt really sick, and I almost couldn't get out of bed the next day -- sore aching muscles, mucus, sneezing -- in general flu like symtoms. That was a long way of saying that the diet that Bee recommends is extremely important. >I have started the > anti-candida diet & have been > on it for a month. I also eat 3-4 cloves of garlic a day (mostly because I LOVE the flavor) and drink Pau d'Arco tea. > --I am on Oil of Oregeno > now, but was told > to " rotate " them every 2 weeks with a different > anti-fungal. Bee took nystatin 2 1/2 years with no problem when she was getting well. Muchos saludos, Jeanne OTS __________________________________________ DSL – Something to write home about.
