Guest guest
Friends: The question of DVD use in BE has come up from time to time on this list and unless I've missed some posts on this list (this is possible) I don't think the computer hardware issues have been resolved. Please explain how one uses DVD rewards in BioExplorer other than through brightness or size (or volume)? Do you stop/start the film as thresholds are failed/achieved? Does stopping/starting the film each time a threshold is missed or achieved really work in training? I've tried it on myself and it makes me jumpy -- can't believe it works for clients. (unless the "success" rate is up in the 90 percents) It's been asserted on this list that PowerDVD6 (and some other softwares) is ESSENTIAL, and dedicated memory is RECOMMENDED, for DVD applications. I think that statement summarizes all that I've read over the past couple of years. My own experience SUGGESTS that dedicated memory must also be ESSENTIAL --- not simply recommended. THUS: Is there any straight answer to the following questions? (One based on your own experience) 1. Is PAUSE/START an OK way to use DVD's in training? 2.. Is it possible to run DVD's so with brightness control as the only reward without having the film run "jerkily" 3.. What software(s) and hardware(s) are REQUIRED to achieve this? Thank you nick mammano
