Guest guest
> I always soak my oatmeal the night before in whey > http://westonaprice.org/foodfeatures/be_kind.html In whey protein? So Oatmeal is ok as long as its orgainc like from a health food store? I thought plain Quaker oats was ok, guess not. Guest guest
I'll second what wrote, but only if you find out that you can tolerate Oats as one of your grains. I found out I can not tolerate any gluten of any kind, and this included a food allergy to oats. Test it out first and rotate it with other grains to see if you can tolerate it okay four days later. If you can, then soak it for sure and enjoy the next day! Guest guest
If the Stevia has a bitter taste then you maybe using too much. Try cutting back on the amount you use, just a suggestion to help Angie

Guest guest
Aren't the quick cooking oats just oats that are cut up into smaller pieces? Gaylen
Guest guest
I remember contacting Dr. G's office about it, and the response from the staff was, " Oatmeal can be a problem for *some* kids " . Since my son's food panel did not show a reaction, I decided to try giving it to him and see what happens...but as it turned out, he didn't like the stuff, so it became a moot point. ;-) Cheerios are whole grain oats, but are okay on the diet because they are processed. I would guess that the " quick cooking " oatmeal is probably the most processed and therefore, the least allergenic. Donna Oatmeal? Is oatmeal (or rolled oats) a whole grain and therefore not allowed on the diet? thanks, Timary
Guest guest
Good idea about the " quick cooking oats. " That makes sense. Thanks! > I remember contacting Dr. G's office about it, and the response from the staff was, " Oatmeal can be a problem for *some* kids " . Guest guest
Depends on your child. Oats, along with Cheeries, are off limits for us. but then so is just about every other food under the sun :-) Becky Oatmeal? >Is oatmeal (or rolled oats) a whole grain and therefore not allowed on the diet? thanks, >Timary =============================== > Responsibility for the content of this message lies strictly with > the original author, and is not necessarily endorsed by or the > opinion of the Research Institute. > >
Guest guest
I don't know...I was actually referring to " instant " oatmeal as opposed to the " quick cooking " kind. Still...if that's all they are, I guess that would make them " whole " and a possible problem. Donna Re: Re: Oatmeal? Aren't the quick cooking oats just oats that are cut up into smaller pieces?
