Guest guest
Yay on the long walk! Doesn't that feel great? It's nice to be able to do that with a friend you can trust and say anything to. Hi Everyone, I didn't post Friday's workout which was a long outdoor walk w/ my friend (2 hours 20 min - she is the time keeper - I just walk!) and then I came home and finished up the 2nd half of Margaret 's High Voltage - lots of pushups (I started on my toes, but ended up on my knees), triceps, biceps, standing oblique work, inner and outer thigh floorwork. I did some stretching on my own. This morning, I really didn't feel like doing much of anything so I didn't - I am hoping to get something short in later - 30 min or so of Pilates, yoga or stretching. DD has swim lessons and then we have grocery shopping - hopefully I can squeeze something in after grocery shopping! It is my 'rest' day but I tend to do better if I keep active on those days, too. Hope everyone has a nice Saturday!Donna
Guest guest
That is SOME walk there, Donna! I bet you had the " tinglies " after that one!Hope you had a hot bath too! Hi Everyone, All I did today was my long walk - 2 hours, 20 min- conservatively, we must cover at least 9 miles in that amount of time, but I think our pace may be faster than 15 min miles. when I go by myself I think I walk faster, but I couldn't walk this long by myself! I didn't do a DVD today, got up early and got caught up on some work - I also think my body has just crashed from a combo of stress and TOM. I find that after a stressful event I lose steam - whereas, going through the event, I can stick w/ my workouts. Oh well - next week is a new week. I'm going to start 10 lb slimdown extreme and work on improving my diet. It isn't horrible, but this week I did indulge in comfort foods - butter cookies, banana bread, ice cream - not in gross quantities, but those are things that are not " every day " foods! Take care!Donna
Guest guest
Hi Donna, "All" you did was a 2 hour 20 minute probably 9 mile walk?! That's AWESOME! I know exactly what you mean too about losing steam after the stressful event is over. I'm the same way. It will be interesting to hear about 10 lb Slimdown Extreme. I'm not sure I'm attracted to it because the 20 minute workouts are extreme enough, I'm not sure I want to keep up the pace she puts you through for double that amount of time! We'll see though, I could be convinced otherwise too.
