Guest guest
Yay, for you, ! Go and see that nutritionist. May I make one suggestion? Take some of the packaged foods that you commonly eat so that she can see what your diet is like. Also, I keep all of my grocery lists and meal plans in one folder-- I have a record of the last three years-- when I can afford a knowledgeable nutritionist, that's what I will be bringing in to the office. Best-- Courtenay. i'm also excited because i am going to go see a dietician shortly into the new year. i'm a bit overwhelmed by my food allergies/intolerances, plus avoiding goitrogens, plus trying to do low GI/GL. so, i that some professional help is in order. i think i've found someone that can help, and the price is reasonable. that is very encouraging to me. i know that once i can eliminate my problem foods, i will feel better, and another piece of the puzzle of my wellness will fall into place. here's to a 2005 that brings increased health and wellness for all of us! rachel. Guest guest
Here here to 2005!! Can a dietician help with food allergies? I went to an allergist a long time ago to test for antigens, but they didn't have the food testing that they now have, so I understand. I was found to be allergic to many different grass pollens, the main one being the one that grows in my area of Tx, ragweed pollens, oak and cedar pollens (there's plenty of those in this area too), but I just couldn't carry out the eilimination diet at that time. I've found some foods that I KNOW I'm allergic to, but wasn't then, plus fillers in medicine and supplements too. Other than that, I need more extensive testing, but it's just so expensive for me. armour update > > i know i've been asking all these questions lately, so > i thought i would just update you guys on how i'm > doing in general. > > first, i just want to preface all of this by thanking > all of you so much for the time you take to read and > respond to the posts here. you have all helped me so > much. i hate to think where i would be right now if i > hadn't found this group. thank you very much. > > now, as for the update, i am really starting to seem > some small, but significant improvements since my last > dosage increase from 45 to 60mg of armour. it will be > two weeks since the increase on monday. i started > menstruating today, and this has been the easiest two > weeks prior since i was diagnosed. i haven't been as > crazy or depressed. > > i'm starting to feel more like myself in my moods, and > i think i'm starting to get some more energy. i'm not > where i want to be, but i think that i am perhaps > catching the smallest glimpse of the light at the end > of the tunnel. > > now, i'm cautiosly optimistic, because historically > (even though it's not a long history), i've always had > a period of some slight improvement after a dosage > increase, only to fall again. but, i do think that > i'm on the right track. > > i'm also excited because i am going to go see a > dietician shortly into the new year. i'm a bit > overwhelmed by my food allergies/intolerances, plus > avoiding goitrogens, plus trying to do low GI/GL. so, > i that some professional help is in order. i think > i've found someone that can help, and the price is > reasonable. that is very encouraging to me. i know > that once i can eliminate my problem foods, i will > feel better, and another piece of the puzzle of my > wellness will fall into place. > > here's to a 2005 that brings increased health and > wellness for all of us! > > > rachel.
