Hi, Jenn,

My daughter was on Luvox for two years. When she started, her OCD

symptoms were quite severe. She was 13 when she started the Luvox.

She asked to go off the meds because she had had few symptoms for a

year. She is now 17, has been off meds for two years, and is doing

very well, in spite of a lot of stresses in her life (boyfriend in

Iraq; starting college; etc).

So, it is certainly possible! We figure she can always go back on

meds if necessary, but for now life is pretty good! OCD is a

disease that waxes and wanes. I think puberty set it off big-time

for her, but we are not so naive that we don't recognize it could

happen again. At least we know what it is now, and what to do about

it, and how she responds to certain meds...
