I ditto with Janet, your head's in a great place. What, your friends haven't heard of special massages for pregnant ladies? They thought massages like that were just for the mom??? If you're sooooooooo in tune now, wow, it's going to be amazing when you guys get to see and hold each other. I'm at the other end, my youngest is 15 - you have no idea how many times I wish I could start over and do things differently - but well, we all learn in our own time. And yes, I know, never too late, so I do try, but to be totally honest, one can't undo things that have been done - can just go from here. this is silly, I wanted to write, it ain't over til the fat lady sings (dances??) - where is that from?? what does that mean anyway??? my kids are slowly leaving the nest and believe me, it was much easier to give love to a innocent sweet baby - now I have to work on all sorts of things, like I posted earlier, to

accept and respect, not judge and criticise - not try to change others but to find the good and connect to it - I was furious with my mother when she criticised me and said but if I don't, who will teach you? and I vowed I would NEVER be like her, and then I found myself, guess what - that was my first fears of being a mom, but that's why we're all here in this life, to keep working at it and making it better. , enjoy your games!!!! also you can sing to baby, and lots and lots of talking, she/he can hear you!! KlaraLemoine wrote: ...I'm a first time mom OK! So give me a break. Am I supposed to feel the baby so perfectly? I mean I can actually make out a knee, a bum, a heel, a hand. Not always, but at times (other times I don't know if it's head up or down). I'm 26 weeks today and it almost feels like there is no barrier there, yet I know it's in a bag of waters. ...only it doesn't feel like it. I feel this baby like touching another person just through a curtain or a sheet. It's so weird! Shouldn't there be water swooshing around? ...and the baby LOVES being touched and will touch back. (this is where friends are really telling me I'm losing it!) BUT It's NOT in my head! I can even touch a part of my stomach where I feel a baby part and then after I remove my hand or finger I can look down and a few seconds later the baby will push back in that exact spot. I can see the bulge where it's pushing back out to say hi, touch me again. I've told a few friends and moms this game I have invented with my baby and they say it's all in my head, or just a coincidence. Reggie? Klara? Others? What do you think? Am I delusional? If you guys say yes well then I guess it will confirm it, (but I wont stop playing my little games with the baby, even if it is all in my head).

That does not sound stupid at all! I would play similar games when I

was pregnant with my boys. They even seemed to sense *whose* hand it

was that touched them. My elder one still treasures the memory of his

brother *high-fiving* him from inside of me.

The kicks in the kidneys, however, are not so fond a memory!

YES YES YES!!!

Okay I"m so glad you posted that ne because I KNOW the baby knows the difference between my hand and my husbands. I don't know what it is, but the baby will be crazy active and as soon as Craig puts his hand on my belly the baby almost instantly stops. I have to admit that I'm a little sad that he can calm the baby this way and I can't. At nights in bed (when the baby is most active) and I can't get to sleep because of it. He'll put his hands on my belly and I swear the baby gives maybe one or two more kicks and then settles right down. Oh well, I guess it's good that at least one of us has that magic. Guess I'll have him get up in the middle of the night to a crying baby since he's the one with the magic calming touch.

-I think it's beautiful. Marlie didn't do that. My midwife had me

put my hands on my belly and count how much action was going on.

Marlie was just like she is now, pretty independant but likes to know

I'm there. Can you believe in 20 years we'll be dealing with

weddings or whatever? I'm locking Marlie in a dungeon till she's

30! LOL

I think it's really really great you have this, enjoy it! I can't

wait to see you pregnant!!! Tell your friends you are sorry they

haven't had this experience their loss

Hugs and kisses,

Reg
