Guest guest
No philosophical waiver in GA. I had titers done on all of my boys- they are all immune. Religious exemption requires a notarized letter from your pastor with the reason why it is against your religion's beliefs in this county. Take care, -Camden vaccine questions Does anyone know if Georgia allows parents to refuse vaccinations based on philosophical beliefs? In addition, does someone know specifically what shots are required by what age (in other words, how long can I hold off giving my child certain shots before Georgia state law kicks in and forces me to do so)? Does anyone know of a pediatrician who can give the measles, mumps, and rubella vaccinations in separate shots rather than one large combination dose? Pathways Medical (Dr. Hicks) is thinking about doing it, but does not offer it yet and I am having trouble finding a doctor who does. Any info would be appreciated. Guest guest
We got a medical waiver signed and notarized by our pediatrician. So I know religious and medical exemptions are allowed in Georgia. I'm not sure about philosophical though. -----Original Message-----From: izziart Sent: Wednesday, October 08, 2003 9:30 PMTo: autism-georgia Subject: vaccine questionsDoes anyone know if Georgia allows parents to refuse vaccinations based on philosophical beliefs? Guest guest
I thought that anyone could notorize the waiver. It has to be your pastor? Guest guest
, We signed a waiver in the school office to refuse vaccines. We also signed one in our pediatrician's office. I didn't have to give an excuse. No fight, no questions. They cannot force you to vaccinate your child...however if you don't know your rights they will lie to you and tell you it is against the law not to vaccinate and your child will not be allowed to attend school.
