I really liked that website. Did you get a chance to check

it out?

Courtenay.

Regardless, it's

still

depression, no matter what it's

caused by and somehow

i've got to get through to the point where my thyroid

meds are appropriately balancing me. the question is,

how to get through to that point.

for now, i have decided to give the natural route

(SAME and 5HTP) time to work.

I have had three really hideous attacks on psychotropics, so I am

loathe to try anything new. I understand that other people can

take them without much trouble, but I really won't take the risk of

another EMS episode. I may just be one of those people who has

problems on every drug.

Best--

Courtenay.

Every place

I've read about antidepressant treatment for thyroidians on the

internet has said that, if one has to be taken, that the Wellbutrin is

the best choice. I want to know where Shomon got the info.

Yes, if you have a low seizure threshold, almost any antidepressant is

a risk, but in the larger amts, as you go upward on the dosage.

I couldn't tolerate that large timed release amt of the Zyban, timed

release my butt! I think that stuff releases all at once, and

it's too large a dose at one time. And I definitely could never

take a dose of it before bedtime because I would be awake all night

and into the next day. That happened to me, so I asked him to

change me to a different dosage form that didn't last that

long.

Well I let this shemail slip by. Sorry Courtenay. I've got a kitchen full of wheatgrass trays. Well, three anyway. I just like telling everybody I'm growing grass. As far as vitamins, I think it's chock full, but the thing is they're so absorbable. Just like thyroid/armour, I bought all the associated books and literature, if you're interested let mew know and I'll send you some readin. It has to do with live food. And enzymes. That whole juicing thang.

But the poopin business isn't a problem unless you use it in a way to make so. I just think once your endocrinally screwed up, everything goes south. Digestion, absorbtion?, ph levels, adrenals, all that candida business, and this just seems to be a "super food" to help cover all that stuff. It's just like thyroid/armour, once you get informed about it you'll see the benefits .

You do have to buy an industrial strength juicing machine. Like $175. Although, I imagine you could come up with a cheaper version. It's just those Walmart $39 won't work. You need the squishing kind instead of the chopping kind.

Let me know if you want some readin stuff.

Re: lexapro and/or antidepressants during thyroid treatment?

That's what I'd heard. Poo as far as the eye can see.

Do you make wheatgrass at home, or do you buy it at a health food store? I'd been wanting to try it, but I have been afraid, very afraid, of the scary poo business.

What vitamins does it contain besides cholorphyll?

Best--

Courtenay.

If I drink it on an empty stomach you'll end up with some kinda poopfest??? But if I drink it with food I do not. I think those "colon cleansing" folks use it that way. Just depends on if your taking it for the easily absorbable vitamins, or if you want to do that cleanse business.

Yes, they have a tendency to drive my blood pressure up, particularly the old TCAs, and some people have a low seizure threshold, so they're certainly not for all people. I'm for getting to the root of the problem, namely low thyroid, but some people must take them temporarily, in an emergency situation, or they have more suicidal ideation than other people. Very temporary, while thyroid is being brought up, IMO.
