Guest guest
Amy,That is terrible that he is so sick. I don't know much about RSV, none of my kids ever got it. Hang in there and keep us updated on how he is doing when you get a second. I took to the doctor yesterday and it ends up he has RSV (and an ear infection, but I’m more concerned with the RSV). Has anyone ever had to deal with this? has now had a fever for 5 days (still has it) and is very irritable. We have him on nebulizer treatments 3 times a day, an antibiotic, and motrin every 6 hours. He is having a very hard time sleeping, but sleeps much better when we’re holding him (we haven’t gotten any sleep since Friday!). Dave is helping out during the night, so I have relief. The doctor said this will probably last for 2 weeks and there is nothing to do to cure it, but the nebulizer will help him breath better. I’m wondering if he picked this up while he was in the hospital (during casting or while we were in the ER that same day for his high fever). I’m just worried because I’m sure the RSV is exacerbated since he is in a cast. Does the cast actually push on your lungs to decrease your breathing ability? Any advice regarding RSV would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
