Guest guest
I no longer have the popups, unless I visit a site that plants them. Then I just run my SpyBot. But I am getting hit with 10-50 copies of any of the Netskys every day. Re: Computer Viruses---Does Everyone Have An Antivirus Program? I have F-Prot, which my son installed for me. We also have a Zone Alarm firewall. My DH just bought an upgrade for the Zone Alarm, but has not figured out how to install it. I guess our son will have to do that, too. I have not had any viruses lately, but I do get a lot of pop-ups. My husband bought a book called Degunking Windows. He followed the instructions and greatly reduced the pop-ups. Guest guest
I use the Mozilla browser, and do not allow cookies, which controls pop ups. I have received a few emails lately from unknown sources containing netsky; however, my virus program isolates them and quarantines, and I can eliminate without contaminating my computer. I am not sure how they make thier way to me, as I have never heard of the email addy's they are coming from before. I understand your frustration, a real pain in the arse... thank god for good virus programs. Cathryn > I no longer have the popups, unless I visit a site that plants them. Then I just run my SpyBot.
