Guest guest
,You will be in my prayers and I hope you get that good news that you want! I'll be anxiously awaiting your update. Patty, mom of Isabella, 2 years old, in 3rd cast (Rochester) & mom to & EvanTo: infantile_scoliosis Sent: Tue, December 15, 2009 9:49:04 PMSubject: Moment of Truth- It's been a long time since I've posted... was found to have scoliosis at 4 months in July. The original x-ray showed an S-curve measuring 13* & 28*. An x-ray in August (6 mos) at Denver Children's Hospital gave us a measurement in the upper teens. We applied to SLC Shriners and were accepted but told they wouldn't likely cast her under 1 year, so we could wait to make the trip out there. So, here we are at 9 months, finally at the appointment where I feel we can see a 'trend..' Tomorrow we have a follow up at DCH to get another x-ray. I can definitely still see a curve, although it appears to be smaller. However, the left rib appears to be a little curved outward, so I'm not sure what that means. She's been a little delayed on her physical milestones, but seems to be closing the gap. The last couple months have been very hard for our family, so we are definitely hoping for good news! Please keep us in your prayers- I will send an update in the next few days. Thanks,
