Guest guest
You poor thing! I hope things calm down and get better for you.. and for Abby. As for the ex... you know what he can kiss. Hang in there. Feel free to vent as much as you need to. After an experience like that, you definitely deserve it. Heidi and Hailey Abby's hospital experience Well, Abby was suppose to be hospitalized yesterday, she wasn't. When we finally found the hospital and there was no parking at the hospital so we ended up having to park illegally 1/2 mile away from it. When we finally found the bldg. we were suppose to go to we had to take a number and wait, even though we had a 9 a.m. appointment (so if someone was 1 hour late for their appointment they got in before me). Finally 1 1/2 hours after her appointment we got in and gave our paperwork to the reception and then were told to go to another bldg. and then after that to another. That was all the English they could speak. Numbers and pointing on a map. They couldn't tell us why we had to go to other buildings when Tricare (our military insurance who set the whole thing up) told us we only had to go to this one and that was it. Then we arrived at the second bldg. we had no clue why we had to be there. There were no personnel there, just a room with a closed door in it and some Germans setting there waiting and none of them spoke English. We waited there for 2 1/2 hours before it was finally our turn, just to turn around and fill out the same insurance paper that I already filled out at Tricare and gave to the first building. Then we arrived at the third bldg. to have them tell us they did not have a room for her. At this point I am completely out of breath because the bldgs. were about 1/2 mile between each other, it's raining and freezing cold and I have asthma and I'm very well you know, peed, my other daughter is getting ready to get out of school and there is no one to pick her up since Abby was suppose to go in at 9 a.m.. A doctor finally came in and noticed I was out of breath and not a very pleasant look on my face I'm sure (I don't hide my feelings at all) and asked what was wrong. I explained everything we had just went through and what we were told there and that Tricare did not say anything about all of this. She then looked at me and said, " Well, it isn't like America where everything is in one building. Here everything is spread out and you will just have to deal with it. " I could not believe this one was so rude and said this to me. Not to mention that is the worst thing you could ever say to me considering my opinion is I don't HAVE to do anything except sh_t, pi__ and eat. So then I took my daughter out of that place and said no I do not have to deal with this. They were very rude, there was no legal parking anywhere near the place, the buildings were run down and looked horrible. And they told us that if she was hospitalized there I would have to transport her on foot from place to place to get the tests done. Meanwhile I have another daughter who is in school and having problems and no one to help me with all of this. And they didn't have a room for her. I called her military doctor and told her about it and also her neurologist. They couldn't believe any of this and of course they did not recommend going to a German facility, actually they advised against it. So now we are just going to put in to return to the states and have her medical problems addressed by American doctors. Speaking of the states, I had to call my ex husband to let him know Abby was going in the hospital. So now I had to call him and tell him she wasn't. He blew a casket (I didn't expect that). He now says he wants her back or both of the girls. I couldn't believe this. Because of him we don't know what is wrong with Abby because he neglected her ( he didn't give both of the girls their shots for a year, he didn't enroll Abby in school and when he did (after I sued for custody )she missed 40 days, he didn't take her to her doctors and so on.)and he just gave me custody in June of this year because he said he couldn't handle it anymore (his wife had left him). So now he is giving me problems and saying nothing is being accomplished here. Well excuse me! I take her to 2-3 doctor appointments a week. I rant, rave, jump up and down hollering wanting to know what is wrong with my daughter, I have done everything I can to get her help, unlike him. He just sat there and said nothing is wrong with her, she's completely normal. And he didn't want her to go to the German hospital in the first place. Sorry this is so long. If anyone is here in Germany beware of going to German facilities. Karrie www.clik.to/abigail

Guest guest
Karrie - how horrible. How do people in Germany deal with this ??? You handled it better then me, that's for sure. After all of that time, I would've been a raving lunatic !!! Poor Abby. When are you getting back to the states ??? I think at this point, that's your best option. Keep us updated on your little pumpkin. I can't believe how ignorant that German doctor was. You have a sick child for God's sake !!! Doesn't she have a heart ??? Having to transport a sick child on foot like that. No legal parking. What a nightmare !!!!! I really feel for you... Give the girls {{{ HUGS }}} and kisses... Take care & hang in there !!! & her little Angel, Crystal Aquielle...
Guest guest
Tell me about it. I'm sure I looked like a raving lunatic. My face was blood red, veines in my neck were bulging out, I'm surprised I didn't have a heart attack, lol. I don't know when we will be back. Abby's pediatrician is writing up a letter of recommendation now. I'm suppose to call her next week to come and pick it up and then send it through the Army. Abby's teacher said that there are some big wigs here from Washington, D.C to meet with parents of special needs children in the area to see about how the services are here. Wuerzburg, where we live is suppose to be cat. 4 meaning they can accept any child and have the services for them. Well they certainly don't. She asked me to come and speak with them tonight so I'm going to. I know it won't help me but hopefully it will help someone and right now I am all for talking to someone about all this crap I have to deal with. I'll let you know what happens.
Karrie www.clik.to/abigail Abby's hospital experience > Karrie - how horrible. How do people in Germany deal with this ??? You > handled it better then me, that's for sure.
