Guest guest
Tom, I am not sure what heart troubles you have been having, but perhaps more of us have the same thing. I have " tachacardia " quite often, and the heart rate will rise to 120 BPM for absolutely no good reason. I also have " butterflies " in my chest. My heart will thump really heard, like it wants to jump out of my chest Sometimes it makes me have a funny little caugh as it takes my breath away. My husband can tell when my heart is jumping if he is holding my hand. He can feel it so well, it scares him. There is no pain at this point. Just the racing and the jumping. I too, have had intensive heart testing, by 4 cardiologists now. I wore a heart monitor, but they didn't catch an episode. I had an Echocardiogram, and a transesophogial echocardiogram, several chest xrays, EKG's, etc. I have had a complete workup, inspection, labs and so forth. All they can find is a mildly leaky tricuspid valve and say my heart is strong, despite all the drugs I take. The doctor I saw last week said he thought it was the drugs causing the problem, but I started the problem 6 years ago, and started all the drugs in Sept 2001. Nice cop out with the drugs loophole, but they seem to think I am just fine. I see they are giving you the same story I am getting. Anyone else with similar problems? If you've been following my heart worries, I think it might include others here who are worried for themselves and I take this as good news. I am thinking that spite of modest heart pain and pulse rising to 120 again, I'm thinking it's solved with 200 megs of Toprol, just doubling what it has been. My brother thinks that the test I've taken is the most thorough of its kind. That shows that my heart is functioning fine, I'm taking it to mean. I'm thinking that something is wrong, but that it doesn't interfere with the heart is functioning. I'm taking that to be good news. All else is going well and I'm enjoying my life as a weakling :-) Tom Wormwood is a brain destroyer. Guest guest
Yes, Just about the same. During the most severe fevers and flares the " heart doctor " was in every day several times a day, due to all the irregularities of the heartbeat. The heart specialist, and other doctors even encouraged an abortion when I was pregnant in 1974 due to havig been on high doses of steroids, and a continual heart " murmur. (as most of you know, our son is now 26) Also my heart jumps around so much..or at least " feels " like it is, that it takes my breath away sometimes. Docs all say it is fine. Well okay then. I thought it was just me. Racing pulse also from time to time. etc. tricia -- Re: Encouragement Tom, I am not sure what heart troubles you have been having, but perhaps more of us have the same thing. Guest guest
Jen, Thanks for the information...however; in my case, I have had the PVC's for about 6 years, and have only been on Prednisone and MTX for about 2.5 months. I think the PVC " s started with Stills way back then, but we didn't know it was Stills. It is easy to say it is the meds, but the PVC " S were so long before the meds, I don't think the initial cause could be medicine related, but definately medicine exacerbated at this point.
