I bet he's going to be sore for quite a while. My sister had an accident

two weeks ago and she's still out of work (she's a court stenographer).

It seems she was at a bike shop purchasing a bicycle built for two so

she and her boyfriend could go riding. Well, the salesman had taken

it outside the shop to demonstrate it and had her get on the back and

the salesman was on the front. The back handlebars came right off

and my sister took a good fall to the cement. She broke (3) ribs and

scraped her leg all up. Needless to say, she now has a lawyer handling

it. Broken ribs take a long time to heal and the doctor doesn't know

how much longer she'll be out of work. Boy, I smell some big money

coming her way for this.

My Saturday!

Hi All!Well what a yuck day today was!!! We hauled 2 Jeep Cherokees worth ofstuff down to my in-laws to sell in their yard. Last weekend we made$200. So yesterday I spent about 6 hours going thru all the kids oldclothes & pricing them to sell. That was while I was dealing with acongested head, runny nose, headache, and sneezing fits. (That's whattook me so long!)We only made about $70 today. There was no one stopping & there werelots of sales today. I figured people would be making a day of it,stopping at all the sales. Nope! I did leave with 1 less box of babyclothes, so I was happy about that. And G-I've got a garbage bagfull of 18 & 24 month clothes for you! sat in one of my FIL's folding camp chairs & fell to the groundinstead. Apparantely the screws that they put in at the factory thatholds the fabric seat in place weren't installed tightly. The screwspopped out & he practically folded in half as he fell into the middle ofthe chair legs onto the ground. He really did a number on histailbone. I had to have his dad help get him up & into the house. ButMister Man refused to let us call the ambulance for him. He walkedaround with a baggy of ice stuck in the back of his pants for a while.(That was a pretty comical sight!!!) He's still walking like a crippledold man, but refuses to go to a doctor. MEN!And apparantely Terri drove by while we were packing up, but she didn'tstop! (I'll call you tomorrow! The mica is here!)I put about 15 books up for sale at Half.com Thursday, and got noticetoday that I've sold 2 of them!!! One was priced $5 at the garage sale,and I sold it for $15 at half.com. I like that!Sorry that was so long! But I haven't posted much in the past day. Ohyeah, an order from Neilsen Soapwerks was waiting for me when I gothome. New molds & micas to play with!!! Boy I feel for her... I broke 2 ribs when I was teen and had all kinds of

problems.. wound up with pneumonia as a result of not being able to take

deep breathes I missed 6 weeks of 9th grade!

It happened when I was getting my moms sewing machine out from behind a chair

in the living room. Right next to the chair was a magazine of my sisters

(Cosmopolitan!) and not thinking I stepped on the mag to move the chair out

and my foot slipped on the glossy mag cover... the chair went flying out

of my way and I landed my ribs right on the sewing machine! It was the one

and only time I cussed and yelled at my father and got away with it lol I

hurt for 3 or 4 years after that and even now I can't lay on the floor on

that side for very long... my ribs are all lumpy and it hurts my skin to

have preasure on them.

Hope shes feeling better and she can recover some money for it.... sounds

like a motorcycle my hubby ALMOST test drove a few years back... the handle

bars came off before he was even on it, thank God!

Terri... who doesn't want to help with another tranny job for a very long

time... when he said we would drop the tranny out of the way I didn't know

he actually meant it would drop out!! (a result of not having enough strong

hands to help and he planned it that way without telling me!! MEN!

Hi All!

today that I've sold 2 of them!!! One was priced $5 at the garage sale,

Sorry that was so long! But I haven't posted much in the past day. Oh

yeah, an order from Neilsen Soapwerks was waiting for me when I got

home. New molds & micas to play with!!! YAY!

Wow , that's awful! Bet that salesman wishes he didn't go to work

that day!

Hope your sister is doing better soon! And is sore today, but no

limping around. He says he is fine, just his butt hurts!

Gosh , that's awful. Being an avid biker myself, I can only imagine....I

hate crashes. Husband did an endo while biking on a trail in Little

Falls. Anyway, didn't this salesman do anything. You

know like offer to take her to the ER or sometime. Or maybe he did.

I know when someone got hurt at our business we encougaged her to go immediately

to the ER, at our expense, to make sure everything was ok. Hope that

wasn't a local shop that was so careless. Hope she's doing

better.

Here I am writing once again about accidents. My son who has been on

Diflucan since end of April has had accidents every night. We are tired

of changing bed sheets sometimes multiple times at night. His situation

was even worse a week ago when he had them during the day too. Now it is

limited to nights and he seems to have lost control. He never used to

wet his bed and now it has become a routine.

Any ideas anybody? I hate to change meds again, afraid to go through

die-offs again. This is the 2nd anti-fungal we are trying and we have

tried 2 anti-virals already. We are trying to take him to the bathroom

when we go to bed late at night, about 2.5 hrs after he has gone to bed.

But tonight he has already had an accident!

I am not seeing any language improvements/jumps either.

Any advice anybody? Help needed!!!

Hi Sara,

I don't have a lot of ideas for you, but a couple of things occurred to me --

one, that if he started the antifungal at the end of April, he might still be in

the die-off phase. If it was worse a week ago, but getting better, that may be

a sign that it will improve even more. We switched my son to Diflucan in March

and he was having similar potty accidents, day and nighttime, for nearly a month

before things normalized.

Two -- you might want to get his urine checked to be sure he doesn't have a

urinary tract infection.

Lastly -- you don't say how old your son is, but Pull-Ups can be a lifesaver for

nighttime. They even make some (called " Good Nites " , available at any

supermarket) for older children, up to about 120 lbs.! I realize the goal is to

help the kids become able to get themselves up and to the bathroom if they wake

up at night having to 'go', but as this is a temporary problem, it couldn't

hurt. And you all deserve the sleep!

This was discussed at a workshop I did 6/4. What goes in comes out. If nothing

is drunk after 7:00 PM, and a child uses a toilet (don't ask; say, " It's time to

use the toilet) how can there be accidents after a bit if the bladder is empty

until AM? I also recommend regular underwear always. msherrett.

difficulty emptying their bladder completely, which leads to having to get

up during the night...

Hi Caroline,

The adults have various problems. Some at night and others with frequent

daytime urination, problems with bladder control etc. Another issue is

dehydration because the body doesn't hold onto fluids. I know Dr. Klimas is

one of the CFS researchers who has looked at the low blood volume issues.

Someone described the fluid problems as the body have a lower setpoint.

Like we're always a quart low, lol.

The CDC's proposed namechange for CFS is Neuroendocrineimmune Dysfunction

Syndrome (NDS). Neuroimmune means the same thing since they're

interconnected systems. Some can have problems with diuretic hormones.

There can be problems with the brain not shutting down the operating systems

at night because of the sleep stage problems.

I don't think anyone would treat restless legs as a behavioral issue. If

the bladder happens to be the body part that's not shutting down at night,

well........... when you gotta go, you gotta go. Children just have a

harder time if they have these problems since they don't always wake up.

I have to jump in here, too. My 12yo has been on the protocol for 2yrs and

doing well. He potty trained at 3.2 (urine) years and was dry all night for

YEARS. He has always wanted to drink lots of fluids. After being on the

protocal a while, he too, began to wet the bed. I made sure he had nothing

to drink after 6pm and it didn't work. Lots of laundry later, I decided to

get the nite pants. He resisted until I called them nite pants. It is such

a no issue with us after all we have been through. He is sleeping so hard

and well after so many years of being up at 2 and 3am for the day, it is the

LEAST of my problems. I know that there are typical teenagers that wet the

bed.

Your info on troubles regulating fluids clears up some things. School will

report intermittently that he will go to the bathroom 5 times some days

with no change in fluid intake. Hmmmm...

Our 14 year old does this bed wetting thing to. We wake her at 10-10:30 pm

for one more bathroom trip and this seems to work most of the time.

We had one who was a wetter, and one that wasn't. It was always a non-issue

in our household. After having a sibling who wet and it being a " BIG " issue

with my father, it shaped my attitude about the subject. I never wanted to

project to my child that there was some type of character flaw. That it was

something to be ashamed of, their fault, etc.
