Guest guest
Hi ! Replying to multiple posts... Thanks for the kudos about standing, LOL! The wobble board is a recent addition to my computing, since I sorta forgot I had one. :-o For a while I had a really good habit going of walking on the treadmill while reading on my laptop. I have a SurfShelf that mounts to my tmill to hold my laptop, and I was doing hills on the tmill for an hour at a time, several times a week for extra activity. Unfortunately, after I got my ipod (which has some fancy easy-on-the-eyes screen) I much prefer reading on my ipod to my laptop, heh. It's too hard to read the small screen on my ipod while moving on the treadmill, but I have pedaled the recumbent while ipod reading. But it's not the same. Glad to hear that " Legs " was found! Yikes, I would freaked a bit if one of my *Cathe's* was used as a tester for something, LOL. But I'm pretty sure my DH knows that I'm rather OCD about my videos, exercise stuff, and gadgets, heh. Oooh, Monster Cookies!! I am *well* aware of what those are, ha! I worked in two bakeries, remember? DH used to be a big fan of those actually (me, with the overactive sweet tooth, goes without saying). But I must be doing something right with the cooking around here, since DH can't stand anything super sweet anymore. He even prefers cake without frosting! Crazy talk! On the upside, frosting-less cake isn't very appealing to me, so it's easier for me to stay away from. :-D Oh good - if Dave and have used iTunes that will be a big help! I have to have on reserve to help me. My DH has had an ipod for a couple years but hates iTunes, so he hadn't updated it in over 2 years, lol. He was pleased to have so many new songs after I finished ripping all of our old cds. Yes, there are tons of free podcasts out there! An older ipod would be a good place to start to get used to the interface - and free is always good! Ha, glad to hear Miriam can hula hoop! I don't think I ever could as kid. What a difference an adult size hoop made! Once I had my homemade right-sized hoop I was much easier than I anticipated. As a rule of thumb, when you stand the hoop on end in front of you it should be somewhere between your waist (at least) and your chest. The bigger it is, the slower the hoop will spin - but it's actually easier to keep it going. Random hooping tip of the day...lol Yep, EA2 does seem to be a pretty decent workout and I forgot to mention the hover squats! Eek! They call it " squat hold " and the " easy " is 30 seconds. Gah, I wonder how long the harder ones are, heh. There's no way to cheat that exercise either as it will call you out if you stand up too soon (don't ask how I know that, lol). Speaking of football, there's another EA game called NFL Training Camp or something that sounds very similar to EA2 that used the same type of sensors/HR monitor thingy. I'm not sure yet if you can use another set of controllers for 2 person play for EA2, but if you can, and my DH showed interest, I would hope that the sensors work between games. I don't think you can buy the sensors separately, and that way you could get more sensors and a new game. EA2 seems to be often on sale for about $20 on amazon - and at Target sometimes, too.
