Who is the endo that is satisfied with your Free T3 low in its range and your Free T4 at the very bottom of its range?Debbie W wrote:

I just received my labs from my endo. What surprisedme is that she told me not to look at the TSH resultssince I had pituitary surgery, but now is stating thatmy TSH levels are fine so therefore I am fine. I amposting these results to see what y'all think of myplan of action. These are the results from 3 months ago when I wastaking 2 grains of Armour on Mon, Wed, Fri and 2 1/2on the other four days. FT4 0.8 (0.8-1.8), FT3 278(230-420) and TSH 2.28 (0.4-5.50). She then raised me to 2 1/2 grains per day and theresults after 3 months were FT4 0.8 (0.8-1.8) FT3 270(230-420) and TSH 1.37 (0.4-5.5). The FT3 is actuallylower, any opinions there? The FT4 stayed the same. She refuses to increase my Armour, so I am now in theprocess of increasing my Armour up to 3 grains a day.

When I have been on the 3 grains per day for 3 monthsI am going to get the levels rechecked. On another note, I have been reading the info onadrenal fatigue, and I believe I have thedocumentation for what is being said. About a yearago my adrenals were actually putting out too muchhormone to the point that the doc thought I may have apheo. Now they are out of range on the low end of thescale. Of course when I questioned the doc about thatshe told me that being out of range on the low end ofthe scale doesn't mean anything!!!!!!I am also being tested for high liver enzymes. Anythoughts there? What I didn't understand was when Iwas removed from all of my thyroid meds, because I wastold I didn't need any, (long story really stupiddoctor,) my liver enzymes went back down to the normalrange. Any thoughts there? Thanks for the

I am also being tested for high liver enzymes.

I can't remember where I read about this, but this is a common thing

that happens in thyroid disorders and in those who have low adrenal

issues. It is not serious and should go away if you get your dose

adjusted properly and the adrenals become more normal. It is really

a problem related to imbalances in the body. Tish

Causes of elevated liver enzymes:

Thyroid disorders — Thyroid disorders can produce elevated

aminotransferases by unclear mechanisms

Celiac disease — Several reports have described elevated serum

aminotransferases in patients with undiagnosed celiac disease.

Adrenal insufficiency — Aminotransferase elevation (1.5 to 3 times

the upper limit of normal) has been described in patients with

adrenal insufficiency (due to 's disease or secondary

causes), including those without obvious clinical features of the

disorder.
