Well, I just got the call from the doctor’s office. His nurse called, like the last time. I have to say they were a little faster this time. She gave me the results over the phone, with faxed copy to follow:

I don’t have a problem with suppressed TSH, never have… doctors, on the other hand. Well, Jan has put it so wonderfully; it cannot be expounded upon. Those last two were just a comparison for you. With the added Unithroid, I have a slight rise in my T4. Of course, the doctor wants me to drop my Armour to 60 mg. I said no, politely. I’m starting to think I should try to increase the Armour, sans Unithroid, go for a straight Armour shot, see if I can get my T3 and T4 up high enough with just the Armour. Any input ladies?

Yep. Both the Free T3 and Free T4 are staying entirely too low, unless you're feeling awfully good. Considering that there's no change in the Free T3, after having added the Unithroid, it looks to me like you not only are very low on T4, but are also not converting any of what you're putting in there to T3. I think you're right about going solo on the Armour, and I'm thinking that your pituitary has a problem also. I don't really think that it's the thyroid hormone you're taking that is suppressing it, I think it is suppressed all on it's own, i.e., not stimulating your thyroid, as it's quite steady at that .1, no matter what you're feeding it. Both those Frees need to come up. I hope you're taking it sublingually.

I haven't been taking it sublingually, but starting my first dose

tomorrow morning, I will be. And I plan on increasing it, and letting

the doc know I did so a new Rx will follow on monday. Tired of being

tired... plus my job is just high stress enough to require the extra.

Maybe I should get those adrenals checked, after all, I've been hypo,

and had Hashis for 25 years now. Can we guess how many of those years

I have been sufficiently medicated?
