Way to go, !!

Time to set a new long term goal (and short term ones to gauge progress along the way)! What's up next?

a nice evening 5 mile run

I was going to do kickboxing and abs since my trainer had to cancel on me, but I was itching to be outside. It's the perfect temperature for a run and my thoughts spin a mile a minute these days and running helps suspend them so I can sort through them better, and the movements of running are a meditation and making distance with one's own body emotionally equates with getting away.. from Everything.

It dawned on me a third of the through as I approached the west side of Mt. Tabor that I reached my long term goal! Not the half marathon - that was done more or less on a whim and indeed was splendid, but my real running goal, the one I've had all along, is to run 5 miles with ease several times a week. Tonite's run was just the perfect distance.

My toe blister from Saturday's half marathon did act up a little tonite. Nothing serious, but I should probably get some 2nd Skin stuff to put on it as I would like to do a 10 mile run on Sunday.

This is definitely a part of my life. I have a massage tomorrow and will continue to see my wonderful modern chiropractor / healer as needed to help keep me running injury free.

10 more days til I see G.

My current goal is to continue doing 10 mile  runs on the weekends.  I have a half in October (zombies) and a 14K in August, but for the most part I'll be running on my own for awhile.  My ultimate goal one day which will require a lot of $ is to do the marathon at Disneyworld!  You run through Cinderella's castle and the characters cheer you on along the way!

Awesome goals, !! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Disneyworld goal!! That sounds like so much fun! Side silliness: Miriam's assistant dance teacher (graduating high school senior) is going to be Cinderella there this year, she just got hired! 10 miles on the weekends sounds so great for you too, it will be fun to keep reading about your runs!
