Guest guest
Sorry to hear that Koti is still not well and still in hosp. Another similarity with Hannah's recent illness is the throwing up of full strength feeds but not half strength. I'm also glad that the feeds are now small bolus feeds like you wanted for Koti. Have they scoped her stomach to SEE if there is granulation tissue? Would be good to be sure if it was in there or not. Why would they do a nissen unless they are sure that reflux is the problem? Koti does not have a history of vomits/ reflux does she? (sorry cant remember - mentally overloaded at the moment) It is possible that she has developed delayed gastric emptying? Constipation, causing toxins in the bloodstream? Just bouncing ideas around here. You poor dear . I hope you were able to get a decent rest when you went home, just to boost your batteries a bit. Hugs and kisses to Koti and Cameron for their birthday, and I hope you are all home for it. Take care luv'n'hugs (Hannah's mum, Australia) ----- Original Message ----- From: A Hiatt Hi everyone, Koti is still in the hospital. She was doing ok with pedialyte, and with half strength formula. But as soon as they gave her full strength she started vomiting again....... ......Also, we have been having a battle with granulation for a few months, and they believe that it is now inside the stomach which can cause a little sickness and irratibility after a while........ ......they are now discussing a nissen. So now Im really confused- is it the flu or reflux? They are feeding her 30 cc's at a time, every 10 minutes over an hour- so I guess it is not the feeding being too fast...... Guest guest
, I just wanted to send birthday greetings to your precious little Koti and Cameron. I guess the day will be a difficult one for you under the cicumstances, but I hope that you will be able to find some small way to make it special for the children and for yourself. Please be assured of my prayers for a diagnosis and for Koti's restored health. Love and hugs (Hannah's mum, Australia)
