Guest guest
Well there is no better time than challenge time to tell you all the details of our new family member. Isaiah Rettinger was born January 26, 2010. He weighed 8lbs, 2oz, and was 21.5 inches. He has a ton of dark black hair and is a very precious little boy. Some of you may find this funny, I do, I am always rubbing my finger across his little spine checking to make sure it is straight, so far so good. As far as is concerned, he is doing the most hilarious stuff everyday. He gives kisses by going mmmmmaaaaaaa!!!!!!!! He runs around in a circle hopping on one foot. He is so funny.Beth RettingerMother of In Third Cast From SLCFrom: infantile_scoliosis <infantile_scoliosis >Subject: Challenge time!, 2/1/2010, 12:00 amTo: infantile_scoliosis Date: Sunday, January 31, 2010, 11:49 PM Reminder from: infantile_scoliosis Yahoo! I have been pushing him and not helping him(only to force him to practice). So just now he ask me to get him dressed. I said I'll be in there in a minute. I went to his room and he had taken off his pjs, which BTW is a button shirt and had his jeans buttoned and zipped!!!! And was well on his way to getting his shirt on!I am so proud of him!!! Guest guest
One of the "perks" to having twins. If one does it, the other has to as well... good for them both. Poor Hayden has a hard time with undressing and dressing b/c of his cast. Our Ped told me to buy a doll that he can dress and undress. He is just NOT interested at all. If it doesn't have wheels, then he doesn't want to play with it..lol Any other cast mom's out there that have any ideas on how to help your casted child pull their pants on and off and take off their shirts?? Potty training is more difficult b/c of this task. Guest guest
No huge milestones to report, but we celebrated his cast off wknd with a waterpark hotel this past weekend and he just had a blast! He couldn't wait to get to the "bubbles" in the sprinkleville area that allowed him to just walk around and get wet and touch lots of fun fountains and bubblers. His twin brother wanted little to do with it and was hesitant, but little superhero just threw himself out there, took risks, braved the cold water (he was blue and shivering but didn't want to leave!) He is such a risk seeker, a spunk rocker and a hoot! It was so fun to observe him and he's growing up so fast. I found myself sitting back quite a bit and just watching how he handled life....whether it be walking around, playing with his siblings, eating a big ol piece of pizza by himself or just being. I love you, Boo! Guest guest
Joan, is a car freak too. He was not the least bit interested until now. AND for so long I helped him. It was just easier and faster.Being in a cast or even his brace all day, it was just hard for him.If I were you I would buy a doll(or they make a big puzzle that has different pieces of clothing)and just have it there. He will eventually take a look at it and get interested in how things work. He is a boy.....their minds just work that way. Make getting him dressed a game. Encourage him to try. Guest guest
That is BIG!!! I know how happy you must have been to see him play cast FREE!!!What a great weekend!!Thanks for sharing. Guest guest
My Lil payge she always cracks a up. Everything she does it's so entertaining to sit there and watch her. Like she knows what " no " means but when we say no, stop, get down etc she will give you a kiss. And then go right back to doing what you told her not to do. Like she thinks if she gives you a kiss you forget you told her not to. I love it Sent from my iPod

He is just NOT interested at all. If it doesn't have wheels, then he doesn't want to play with it..lol Any other cast mom's out there that have any ideas on how to help your casted child pull their pants on and off and take off their shirts??
