Guest guest
It sounds like it's not a body fat thing, just a fluids thing. You're going to be OK! These are major life transitions, and you're working so hard. Take a deep breath. You're doing great. It's going to work out. You're not going to backslide. You can also relax and go with the flow a little. Incorporate some yoga or meditation. If that's not your bag, then just incorporate some extended stretching time. Insert more rest days. I've got a lot of things going on right now -- starting a new job, changing meds, plus a bit of perimenopause... I really haven't changed my eating habits, but my weight has increased about 3 lbs on average. I think it's going off the diuretic/BP meds. My husband pointed out that I'm not "retaining fluids" but rather I am "failing to purge them." (I may have said that here already.) Whatever, I don't like it. My weight loss has been hard-won, and I don't want to back slide now! Indyroes

Guest guest
Fluid weighs a TON and I see WW members who change diuretic dosages or just don't take them because they don't feel like it or forget have huge gains on the scale (like 3 lbs or more) because of that. It is temporary though, once you get medication and other factors that have nothing to do with diet under control. Weight going up --errr I've got a lot of things going on right now -- starting a new job, changing meds, plus a bit of perimenopause...
