I need to pull out my KCM and do them so I can get them turned backwards on my shelf. Took a rest day yesterday and so far today nothing, but I plan to do my newest yoga that I haven't tried yet this evening.

I like your plan for the week. I just finished up my rotation. I have a few loaners and a couple new ones that I need to try to work in to some kind of rotation. I like to have set workouts to do ahead of time. I get up at 5 am so I need to have something planned the night before.

I got lunches made today too. Back to school tomorrow. likes me to get outfits set out for her for the week. So I'll do that here in a bit.

Hi Everyone,

We seem to have escaped the hurricane unscathed! Of course, we're not near the coast. Some branches, leaves and twigs are down but not much else.

Today I did my first KCM 30 min to fitness workout - I did the first workout on Body Training - which is a no-equipment needed workout. The first workout is all standing leg work. Tough stuff. I will be sore from this one as often happens to me w/ body weight exercises - I think b/c w/out weights I use a greater range of motion. Anyway, nothing really new in the workout - lunges, squats and variations thereof but is a good instructor - friendly, encouraging, etc. And, I like her backgrounders - one shows modifications all the time which is very nice. Decent music, set looked like one of the CIA sets. The other workout on this DVD is all floorwork which I will do later this week. There are 4 pre-mixes - 2 of which blend the standing/floorwork together, one says it is for hips, and the other says it is for abs. Next time I do this DVD I may try one of the pre-mixes - actually combining the standing and floorwork together sounds like a great plan so you don't burn out on one format too quickly! It may also result in less DOMS!For Pilates today I did 10 Min Solution Perfect Body Pilates - abs, upper body and stretch segments. All good - all I have done before! Suzanne Bowen leads this one. The upper body work is very good - blending weights and bodyweight.Plan for tomorrow is cardio plus yoga.I think this is my rotation:Sunday - 30 Min KCM strength workout & PilatesMonday - 30-40 min cardio & yogaTuesday - 30 Min KCM circuit workout & PilatesWed - 30-40 min cardio & yogaThurs - 30 min KCM strengtn & PilatesFriday - Long Yoga and Long WalkSat - rest or yoga/Pilates/stretchingHope everyone has a nice Sunday. Tomorrow is back to school and work. I prepped lunch stuff and have the backpack loaded! Donna

Hi !I figure the 30 min timeframe is going to be good as we adjust to the school schedule. is still sleeping in and on "summer" time but I suspect that will end this week.

I do have the backpack loaded, lunches prepped (as far as I can get them before morning -we do a lot of fresh fruit and veggies and some just doesn't withstand being prepped the night/day before). I have my stuff pretty much ready to go also. And, also tomorrow's outfit for school is ready - since it is still summer like here we are just going w/ the skort and T-shirt look! :)

Ok - here is my crazy resolution - in order to make my mornings more sane I must:

- take a shower right after exercising before breakfast and coffee - I had fallen into a trap of doing everything but taking my shower and then having to scramble at the last minute. So, I will workout, clean up the workout area, turn coffee on and hop in the shower while it is brewing

- then, I MUST focus on things that absolutely MUST be done before I leave the house - no extras unless there is extra time - which means NO computer!

I know this sounds really simple and silly - but I really find myself wandering and puttering in the morning instead of focusing. I NEED to focus so we can have fewer stressful mornings. Ok - that's my plan. I can wander and putter on the weekends.

I have to stay on a strict schedule for my mornings. has to get up early because she's so darn slow. She's slow eating her breakfast, she's slow making her bed and getting dressed, brushing teeth, etc. We have to be out the door by 7:30 at the latest and by the time I get my workout done I'm really pressed for time, so the long workouts (over an hour) just can't happen during the school week. Well, I guess they could if I got up at 4 am. I get up at 5 am now and that feels so early. It will take a few weeks to get use to that.

I feel like I have to have my workout done before I head out the door for school. If I don't then other things come up and I'm wondering all day when I will get it done. So, I like to just get it out of the way before my day pretty starts, if you know what I mean.

Schedules are so difficult for me, but I need to adhere to one so as not to drive myself crazy in the mornings. Speaking of which, after logging off tonight the lap top goes in the bag and is not turned on until I get to work!Donna

I'm definitely going to have to check for KCM stuff at the library, these sound great. I haven't worked out lately. I have and haven't wanted to to be honest. We're so busy lately that when I'm not I just want to sit (and read, I've been devouring books lately). My kids start school a week from Tuesday and I'm hoping I'll have more time then that it won't feel like "one more thing" (on the to do list) instead of enjoyment. I'm okay right now though, this is a very short break considering other breaks I've taken. I'll be back at it by next week probably I'll keep reading the postings in the meantime and keep getting inspired by all of you!

LOL! You sound like me!! Yeah, that's my plan too! I do usually take my shower right away but then I let myself even touch the computer and any extra time that I could have been doing something that really had to be done to help me out later (like prepping dinner) evaporates. I make that resolution all the time but so far, I haven't stuck with it very well. Hopefully though, you will and maybe you'll inspire me too! :-)

Nice job, Donna!

My KCM lot from Yaya's came in a few days ago and I'll be trying out a few more

this week and next for sure, too.

Glad the hurricane missed you!

Nice job, Donna!

My KCM lot from Yaya's came in a few days ago and I'll be trying out a few more

this week and next for sure, too.

Glad the hurricane missed you!

on Body Training - which is a no-equipment needed workout. The first workout is

all standing leg work. Tough stuff. I will be sore from this one as often

happens to me w/ body weight exercises - I think b/c w/out weights I use a

greater range of motion. Anyway, nothing really new in the workout - lunges,

squats and variations thereof but is a good instructor - friendly,

encouraging, etc. And, I like her backgrounders - one shows modifications all

the time which is very nice. Decent music, set looked like one of the CIA sets.

The other workout on this DVD is all floorwork which I will do later this week.

There are 4 pre-mixes - 2 of which blend the standing/floorwork together, one

says it is for hips, and the other says it is for abs. Next time I do this DVD I

may try one of the pre-mixes - actually combining the standing and floorwork

together sounds like a great plan so

this one.  The upper body work is very good - blending weights and bodyweight.

Hi Donna,

My KCM lot from Yaya's came in the other day so I'll be trying out a few more of

hers over the next week or two as well. I love that she has so many premixes on

each of the 30MTF workouts.

Glad the hurricane missed your area!

We all need a break - I took a mini break while on vacation by just doing mindless cardio and yoga!Donna

I'm still needing it. We had orientation for each kid at each school and because had some problems at the house while I was gone and called me to come home I ended up needing to bring Miriam back to her school tomorrow before my long day at work to finish getting her ready (all's fine with him I think). She's starting at a new school with just 5th & 6th graders (she's 5th grade) and was put into the gifted/talented program which is new to her and means she might not know anyone in most of her classes so while she's glad to be in it (she knows she needs the challenge and wants it) she's also scared and we're dealing with that, getting used to lockers, learning the new building, etc. My 3 year old niece was taken to the hospital this morning too. My MIL, SIL and BIL all noticed she showed signs of possibly being diabetic (insatiable thirst especially). DBIL is a type 1 diabetic, diagnosed just a few years ago so they knew what to look for and when they called the doc she said take her into emergency. She was diagnosed this afternoon and is doing well now. The docs were impressed her mom & dad (and grandma) figured it out so quickly and brought her in before she had very serious symptoms so that was good too. She'll stay overnight for observation and will come home tomorrow. So, it has been a super stressful day and tomorrow isn't going to be a lot easier because I work so much. I give up trying to workout for now. Maybe Wed but I'm not going to push myself much to make it happen to be totally honest.
