Guest guest
Jan, Thanks for the information. Can you tell me which lab he uses for the $1500 testing? If the lab is in my network they will pay at 80% so that won't be too bad. And if he is in network, it will only be $20 for me. Other wise it will be about 30 - 40% of his consultation. To be honest with you, I think that extensive testing is the way to go. I am so tired of these doctors running one or two tests and telling you that nothing is wrong. Guest guest
Oh, good riddance to that one! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr ..... -----Original Message-----From: Debbie W Sent: Thursday, September 16, 2004 1:57 PMTo: Texas_Thyroid_Groups Subject: RE: Debbie/Lubbock,You didn't miss a post, I just didn't want to borey'all with another doctor horror story. The firstthing she asked was "what have you done about yourhigh liver enzymes?" My husband couldn't believe thatshe said that. The last visit she told us that theywere nothing to worry about!! She told me that all ofthe tests that she ran that were out of range meantnothing!!!! Then she told me that my low Free T4 wasfrom taking Armour that I need to switch to you knowwhat!!! But thanks to y'all I know that isn't true. You have to know that these were test results from 3months ago that we were discussing!!! She isre-ruining the TSH, FT4 and FT3 and if the FT4 is low,I am going to try to add a small amount of T4 to themix to see how that does. She totally ignored myother questions by telling me to go find a GP and havehim run tests to figure out what else is wrong with meand then to come back to her in 6 months. Right likeI will go back to her. I gave her a chance and sheblew it. Why would I even bother going back to herwhen she is telling me to have some other doctor tofigure out what is wrong? Guest guest
I would have told her exactly what you are saying here, without blinking an eye. Of all the crap I've ever heard, how pompous. I think that she's so full of herself that she actually believes you are coming back. What was your response to her? I wouldn't have let her get away with it, without at least having something to say to her.
