Guest guest
Don't you just love dealing with these assh*les !!! I just had a good time trying to get an out of network referral for my son Carl to see our Neurologist. We have to use the HMO - Horizon Mercy, because it's the only one our pediatrician takes. So of course the Neuro doesn't ...His appointment was 9am this morning, and the referral wasn't okayed until 8am. Do you think they could have cut it a LITTLE closer !!! Sheesh !!!! I can really relate to your frustration. We were in Children's Hospital one time and had to wait 8 hrs. in the emergency room, before we knew whether they could do the 24 hour EEG on her. They didn't have a machine or room open. The Neuro's nurse took one look at Crystal and managed to squeeze us in. Our daughter was totally off her nut, and was making this really weird noise from time to time. We were put in a room with 2 other kids and it was in a different ward. The kids in that ward were wearing masks, so I wasn't too happy about them putting Crystal there. It turned out that the masks were because the kids were very susceptible to getting sick. Still, it was unnerving, to say the least. When they didn't record anything unusual after 24 hours, the neuro kept her for another 24. They didn't manage to get anything on tape that time, but as you know, this is all in the past. She's now firmly reentered the seizure world < sigh > ... You know that I feel really badly about what you're going through with your little Angel. I hope that you get that EEG done very soon, so that you can help her be more herself. Give the girls great big {{{ HUGS }}} and kisses for us !!! With luv to you all.... and her little Angel, Crystal Aquielle - almost 41 mos. old - BPP ....
