Guest guest
The following is a message Dr. Goldberg posted at the " Ask Dr. Goldberg " section of his site [ http://www.neuroimmunedr.com ]. It is hoped that the rest of the outstanding unanswered questions (in the " Ask Dr G " section) will get answered over the next few weeks and Dr. Goldberg then hopes to stay current from that point forward. This is another great resource for " Q & A " and searching old archives for answers to your questions. To get there go to: http://www.neuroimmunedr.com/Conference/conference.html -- sign in and then you will see all the topics. Thanks for your patience on this! Marc Share Executive Director -RI & Parent Coalition ****** Dr Goldberg's post *********** Topic: Apologies for delayed replies Conf: Ask Dr. Goldberg From: Dr. Goldberg Date: Sunday, April 06, 2003 06:17 PM With apologies again to all, but as expressed last time, multiple efforts have been consuming time, and rather than improving, unfortunately my wife had a few surgeries after the last post in November (as I have said many time, could never have done what we’ve tried to do without her ). Events are still unfolding, slower than expected but in a very positive direction. Will have information for all when I can say more. Meantime, it is very safe to say scientific papers you all have knowledge off and multiple areas of research in progress (information I am not allowed to talk about) ALL support the concepts I have been expressing. The goal remains, obtain and apply new answers for your children before they grow up another decade. Likewise, there is the ongoing need to pursue the recognition of your children as a disease state, an illness, NOT a developmental or genetic (as thought of in old ways) disorder, changing how therapists and the school system look at your children. I hear back story and story in a positive manner, when the therapists or teacher understand the idea of rather than “Autistic Spectrum,” etc. I will do my best to begin to catch up on the postings. Some answers may be brief or refer to past discussions (thankfully I can stand by past statements with increased scientific support), and I would continue to urge all of you to try and obtain, share the video from Dec. 01, as I believe it still gives a very thorough discussion and overview of how to understand this process, we are calling (you could probably call it anything you want but NOT “Autism” as EVER thought of in the past). Here’s to a good 2003 for all of you and your children, Take care, Goldberg, MD http://www.neuroimmunedr.com/Conference/conference.html
