Brisk Walk!

Well, I did it!  Oofda though!  It didn't do much at all for my heart rate.  If it weren't for the hills, it would have done nothing for it.  However, I sure got a leg workout!  Especially in my hamstrings.  I'd be suprirsed if I didn't get any DOMS from it.  Anyway, I headed out with the thought that I would go 12 minutes out, so it would make it about a 25 minute walk.  Well, then I moved it to 15, and then I had a mailbox I wanted to get to. So, it was 16 minutes, 38 seconds when I turned around to head home.  It took me about the same to get home.  I shut my HRM off at 35 minutes.  It was probably a tad too long in the end.  If I were to guess maybe 1 1/2 miles?  I'll clock it later to see the exact mieage.  Anyway, the way out wasn't bad, but the way back felt like a long time!  I had several braxton hicks too!  Yay!  I'd crapper my pants if this is all I needed to get myself into labor :)  (after a week or what-not).  I think it could be very beneficial because I feel I'm in good shape, thus I can walk pretty far, and at a very brisk pace.  That has to be helpful with the saying of " walk " to get things moving with labor when pregnant.  I can super-walk!  Yeah, go fitness!  LOL... I burned 272 calories with  111 as my average at the 35 minute mark.

Plan to do the same tomorrow if my legs allow!  There's no way I could tow the boys with me though :(  (the hills would kill me) So...I will either have to hire a sitter if I want to go when DH's working or get on the treadmill (yuck).

D
