I got teary eyed saying goodbye to Stacey at the airport  :(  and miss her already!  The 5 days went  by so quickly and we didn't get everything on our to-do list in, so I hope she comes back next year!  I went to Fitness at 11:00 for chest and triceps with Noel.  It's nice being able to go not after work but during the day.  I am still quite sore from Legs on Tuesday so I will try the new Turbo Kick Round 46 tomorrow.  I like the music and the choreography looks good too, especially the punching section, at the moment anyway!  Round 45 was exceptional in my opinion though, and may have made my top five list of all time.   I'm sad to see it go (for now) but it is time to move on.  Who knows, Round 46 with music and choreo together might even be better!

Along with the change in rounds, changes in love interests, and physically moving offices / floors at work I feel I'm at a crossroads. I am definitely doing the Diet starting Monday if not before.  Getting  strong and lean is more important to me now than food and libation.  I want to take my fitness to the next level!  I look forward to resuming my 10 mile weekend run on Sunday and by the end of August would like to make my weekend run more like 14 miles.  I figure that will get me through any half marathon, and I'd like to do 3 or 4 more of those before training for a full marathon.  At this point the idea of training for a full marathon overwhelms me, I can't imagine running that Helvetia Half I did in June *twice* through!  I was wiped out after those 13.1 miles!  26.2 miles?  Are you kidding me?

Yet millions have done so before me, many in not as great of shape as I'm in, so there's really no excuse not to do it and it's the next logical goal for me.  To be able to say I ran a full marathon will be one of my Life's biggest achievements!   I feel it will really throw me into the " athletic elite " category, and plus I just... love running!

Of course I need to continue doing yoga and strength training as well.  All this with the Diet will get me to where I want to be in around 6 months or so weight wise, I figure.  A good friend of mine and I are going to swap food journals daily and this will help hold me accountable.

This staycation has done me a lot of good.  Work seems very far behind me.  Off to watch some Dark Shadows on the couch and veg with the Creamsicles!Happy Thursdays,

It's so cool that we can meet our cyberfriends sometimes. I'm still hoping for

a group fitness class with all of you someday. :-)

I'm so jealous that Stacey got to visit you, I would love to visit but alas no money! Try about.com for a marathon training program. They have some great training programs there. JenSubject: Bye Bye Stacey :( / Chest and Triceps with NoelTo: exercisevideos Date: Thursday, July 7, 2011, 6:16 PM
