Oh Marcus its been the worst 6 months with my mom crackin up , my dad on dialysis which has increased his grumpiness and all my daughters problems... but thank God Im still clear!! I am just curious, as I have heard and read so many different articles as to how long you must be undectable to be clear or virus free. Someone told me it was only a year? Can anyone shed some light on this matter...

Hi lisa Marie Well if you reach that 6 months after you have stopped tx, its considered SVR or Sustained Viral Response... usually after that, your chances of relapse are about 4-5% I think,, then after 2 years, its drops to 1-2%... Thanks so much for the info Jackie, it is greatly appreciated.

I have been feeling pretty cruddy lately, real tired, like I can sleep 8 hours and feel exhausted, also been getting the body aches. Just a little concerned it might be, God Forbid, the Hepatitis C. I made an appointment to see my Doc on Thursday asking him to do a full blood work up on me. I have also been running a real low grade temp, which I know is another symptom. But then I was Dx'd with RA (Rhumetoid Arthritis), and although it is an auto immune disease, it has some of the same symptoms. I supposedly got the RA after fighting the hep-c, they say that my immune system fought so hard that it never quit fighting and turned on my own body... Kind of traded one evil for another - but then again, I realize things could be allot worse.

Anyway, thanks again for your help.

Yes Jane I agree,, I too have elevated RA factor AND elevated SED rate and my rheumy cannot say that I have RA... it could be from my sarcoidosis that even that wont show positive on my labs, but I have had to have the sarcoid membrane removed from my right retina twice... just because you have elevated RA factors does not mean you have RA... jaxJane Allaby wrote: Hi, Marie~ Were you diagnosed with the RA from a rhuematologist, or is it because you have an RA factor?
