One problem with that is when they have to wear it 24/7. When we were in one that long, I would wash it down with the Cetaphil. I figured it doesn't leave a residue and was safe for the skin. It is also an anti-bacterial. I'd just wipe the outside with a babywipe as needed. Hope that helps.
