Guest guest
Wow, I hadn't done that one in a while. There are 2 versions on her DVDs -- a 20 minute and a 43 minute (Why 43??), and I did the longer one tonight. I was tired and frazzled from the day, and boy that got me going good! I can sure tell I've come a long way in about 10 months. I didn't make it through the 20 minute version the first few times I played them. I not only kept up tonight, but kept strong to the end of it! (DH did ask who poured the bucket of water over me, though.) My heart rate stayed pretty high throughout the workout, mostly higher than the " target zone " . The calorie counter on my HRM said I burned 726 calories in 43 minutes. Somehow that doesn't seem quite right, does it?? I've done a modified high impact style I've developed for myself, in that I do " bounce " but I am very careful about the take-off and landing of my feet. As I've learned to run with a new, correct footfall, I'm also looking at things like jumping jacks much differently now. -- Not landing heavy on the flats of my feet, but more on the mid-foot and ball. That really changes the impact and the amount of cardio I can put into the workout!! I haven't done the C25K this week because I felt like I needed a rest from it. This Cardio Party sure felt good though! Indyrose
Guest guest
I've been doing Turbo Kick as a break from running too - a great way to cross train the cardio! I heart Turbo anything.
