RE: Sleep Apnea

My husband uses a CPAP. He has no thyroid

or hormone problems. He does however have restless leg syndrome, which has

improved greatly with the CPAP, but the reason he got it was for severe snoring.

Probably has/had sleep apnea, but the results were inconclusive because he

never could get to deep enough sleep at the sleep lab – he was too

uncomfortable in a strange place all wired up.

He had a hard time getting used to it,

since it forces air in your nose, but he has much more restful sleep now.

There is a new kind that doesn’t even use a “mask” but looks

kind of like those oxygen tubes that just go up your nose.

Does anyone know if sleep apnea and thyroid or hormone probs are

related in

any manner. Also does anyone experience with a CPAP

machine?

Does it work for you? Thanks

I sleep with a CPAP machine. It has helped me some,

but I still wake up at night and I am still

experiencing fatigue. You really have to work with

the doctor and the machine to be able to get any

benefit from it. Since you live so close to me, if

you would like to see one you can come over and take a

look.
