Guest guest
I went slower today, and just didn't push as hard. I knocked off the whole 30 minutes in one shot. I wore different shoes, but not sure it helped with my shins. I think if I slow down, that helps. So, I went 1.56 miles at the 30 minute mark. I bounced for about 6 minutes or so. Shut my HRM off at 38 minutes and had burned 351 calories with my average at 119. Oh, and I did jog, but just for like the last 4 minutes...which feels like 4 hours... Tomorrow, I see Kim again for more acupuncture and another membrane sweep. I'm very hopeful this does the trick! I am going to take the morning off from walking. But, more than likely will walk AFTER the appointment. D
Guest guest
Good luck, Darcy!!! I think the shin thing may just be a matter of getting used to the walking and the muscles used. When I take a hiatus from walking my shins are always a tad fatigued/sore when I re-start. Hope your BG arrives soon!!Donna Subject: Brisk Walk #16To: Cathe_Friedrich_Fans , "exercisevideos" <exercisevideos >, "workout.notes" Date: Thursday, August 11, 2011, 10:05 AM I went slower today, and just didn't push as hard. Guest guest
Spoken like a true engineer! But, good point~ Donna Subject: Re: Brisk Walk #16To: exercisevideos Date: Thursday, August 11, 2011, 12:58 PM I believe your center of gravity has shifted a bit more forward at this time... that could easily put undue stress on the shins (and elsewhere!) that exceeds the body's design specifications.Indyrose> > > > Subject: [Exercise Videos] Brisk Walk #16> To: Cathe_Friedrich_Fans , "exercisevideos" <exercisevideos >, "workout.notes" > Date: Thursday, August 11, 2011, 10:05 AM> > >  > > > > I went slower today, and just didn't push as hard. Oh, and I did jog, but just for like the last 4 minutes...which feels like 4 hours...> > Tomorrow, I see Kim again for more acupuncture and another membrane sweep. I'm very hopeful this does the trick! I am going to take the morning off from walking. But, more than likely will walk AFTER the appointment. > > D>
