Done. And, I hated about every step of it! UGH... I started out in a bit of pain in my thighs which I have a lot w/ this pregnancy, and I also have quite a bit of leg DOMS from the walk and the shopping yesterday. I thought it would subside, but no such luck. I'm too stubborn to cut the walk short...GRR.. so I went just as far as yesterday, but in not as good of time. I think in order to continue, I will have to force myself to go shorter distance. I clocked it yesterday, and I believe it's pretty close to 2 miles. Two miles too much for this preggo body! UGH... I burned 246 with my average at 106. We'll see what tomorrow brings. DH is back to work, so I will have to either hit the treadmill or have my neighbor come over to watch the boys. Am thinking treadmill might not be as bad since I know I can step off and be done at anytime. It's

intimidating going that far otherwise! Oh, and to add to my misery, my shoes barely fit. They hurt my feet due to my feet being swollen. I had to put some really thin socks on today to make it work.Sorry to be such a complainer. Glad that's done!D

Complainer?? Good heavens, lady! When I was as pregnant as you, I had toxemia

and diabetes and all manor of problems! I doubt if I would have had those

problems if I had kept as active as you! Swelling feet are no fun! I couldn't

even wear my shoes at all by your date!

You're a true inspiration, not a complainer!!

Thank you Donna!  Sometimes, this is the hardest stretch!  I told DH this morning maybe I would just get induced in a week and be done with it - LOL!  I'm too stubborn though.  I want as natural as possible.  But, the thought of just having my healthy baby girl in my arms is too much sometimes and i want it NOW!  (even though I'm not ready).

You are sooooo sweet Indyrose!  Thank you truly!  It honestly helps loads to know that I have people to report into w/ my workouts!  Thank goodness for internet friends!!!  I'm adamant that keeping fit will help with labor and delivery too.  That is one of the top good reasons that keeps me going.  The grand finale :)

As for my feet (and hands), they dont' look that bad yet (luckily), but I have outgrown some shoes.  I just hope they don't get too much worse.  With Kaysar, they were HUGE toward the end.  And very visibly so!

A pottery painting party sounds great!  And August 2nd sounds like a gret time to give birth!!!  :)  My DH is working 4 hours away :(  I will be devastated if he misses her birth...ugh.... so I'm hoping for a Thursday, Friday, Saturday, or Sunday delivery :)  I am actually due on MY birthday (the 6th), and Kaysar's b-day is the 11th.  I have a lot of other family b-days as well in August.  We'll see who she hits.  It's bound to happen!

I can't say I can relate from personal experience (being a man and all) but,

wow, Darcy, I'm impressed that you're still pushing yourself this hard. You

should be proud of yourself!

Best wishes with the rest of your pregnancy,

The guest list got way to big for a sleepover and they are still young - my DD will be 8 and her friends are in the 7-8 range. I would have done it w/ 2 girls, but not as many as she wanted to have over! :)Donna

More than a few and you've got girl drama everywhere. Especially if you're not super comfortable with managing groups of younger kids (with lots of girl drama) then you're way better off going the route you're going. Even if you are comfortable with groups of young girls it can still be an exhausting experience for you trying to make it a fun one for the kids! :-) We did 3 plus Miriam when she turned 8 and that was a bit much since two of the girls were whiners. Last year I allowed 4 but not the ones that caused so much trouble the year before (so a different one did it that time but she was easier to handle). Not sure what she's going to want for her 10th (in October)!! A pottery painting party sounds good though!! :-)

I burned 246 with my average at 106. We'll see what tomorrow brings. DH is back to work, so I will have to either hit the treadmill or have my neighbor come over to watch the boys. Am thinking treadmill might not be as bad since I know I can step off and be done at anytime. It's intimidating going that far otherwise! Oh, and to add to my misery, my shoes barely fit. They hurt my feet due to my feet being swollen. I had to put some really thin socks on today to make it work.Sorry to be such a complainer. Glad that's done!D

Yes! The friend has over right now is low-drama and I would have no problem w/ her sleeping over (in fact she has!) but w/ some of the others there was a lot of drama potential and they really aren't old enough at this point to work it out themselves or entertain themselves for the entire time.

Take care!Donna

UGH... That's the key... the not being able to work it out themselves or entertain themselves.

Miriam and her friend had a disagreement the other day about ownership of a toy (they have the same one and neither can find her own so they both assumed this one was their's) and I wasn't sure how it was going to end up but just watched. The two of them (Miriam is turning 10 in October and the friend turns 9 the week before) looked like they might end up in a terrible argument but both backed away from that and kept looking for equitable solutions until they agreed on one that was a compromise for both, but one they both agreed they could live with. I was SO incredibly impressed with both of them. They worked harder and came up with more creative ideas than most adults I know would. I hugged them both and told them how proud I was of them and why. It was so cool. But, a year or two ago, there probably would have been tears and tantrums.

I wasn't sure how I'd do with girls too since I was also a tomboy. Miriam is part tomboy part frilly (though she denies it) and totally dramatic some of the time but thankfully not most. I get impatient with the drama pretty quickly. I know what you mean about finding a guy that doesn't feel intimidated by your doing more traditional male things. My DH isn't into ego puffing and is glad I can at least help with a lot of things!
