Guest guest
I had a worksheet for Upper Body that says the last time I did this was last June. The worksheet also either didn't have all the exercises or I had the wrong sheet or something was wacky because I was following it, noting my weights (trying to keep them as heavy as last year and some were just ridiculous, I must have really eaten my Wheaties that day) and then it was totally different from the video. Then, to make matters worse, I tried to pause the video to see where I was on the sheet and hit some button that brought up the chapter menu and then I got totally confused as to where I had been (and the sheet was no help). I know I redid some exercises trying to get myself back on track. So my quick 35 minute workout turned into 55 minutes! I'll be rechecking that worksheet tonight or tomorrow. I went as heavy as I could but I woke up to very sore pecs and abs from my push ups yesterday so I did a few push ups in the first set on my toes and went to knees for all the others. My lower body is also totally fried from Gym Style Legs yesterday and I'm sure my upper body will be completely toast tomorrow so I'll probably move my next push ups challenge day to Thursday or Friday. Tomorrow will probably be cardio or a short cardio and a yoga or stretch after... no weights for a day or two for sure! It is hurts so good kind of soreness but I do need to let it pass too. I don't know if I've ever done a Cathe back-to-back with a FIRM strength workout but the contrast was interesting. I liked Cathe better because I had time to change and write down my weights and I liked the gym style mostly singular exercises better than the do an overhead move with heavy weights while tapping your heel to the left & right or in front of you. The pace was very different too and with Cathe I was able to go heavy and really focus on my form. With Upper Body, I was going lighter sometimes to keep form because it moved faster and combined upper body with seemingly pointless lower body movements (but, being a slave to doing what is being done on the screen, I did it anyway). I still really enjoyed it though and won't be giving up my FIRMs anytime soon, just might not do Cathe and these back-to-back in the future!
