Guest guest
Hey All, Here's something to lighten up with: was up for the weekend and brought Glen the Coturnix quail home for a visit. My goodness, what a stereotypical little trucker! That bird has gained so much weight, he reminds me of a truck driver with a big beer belly. ( is keeping his shape, has to do with tarping loads, I think.) let Glen visit a cage of ladies, he did NOT wish to leave, so pecked 's fingers all the way back to the house then continued to complain loud and long. Glen has gotten so heavy that he can't fly anymore, flaps his wings and plummets to the ground. As Margaret McMaster Bujold wrote about the butter bugs - the aerodynamic capabilities of a tiny brick. As it is, Glen has traveled around the country more than some people I know, got to be the only trucker quail in the world. We may be nuts but we sure have fun. :-)Pat Z.
