Water aerobics are a lot of fun and very very little impact if any on the joints so they are great for someone who is recovering from injury or is older and wants to protect their joints. The important thing about taking a water exercise class is to find an instructor who will do a lot of cardio exercise that keeps everyone in their HRT zone. Our instructor/neighbor is the best one I've ever seen. Even my local community college classes can't compete with her! If I couldn't take her class then I would just take a swimming class where I know I will get a good workout. She is also great about showing form and telling us to work out at our on level and don't do something if it hurts etc.... I want to be her when I grow

Way to go, Jen!! Sounds like a blast!!

Jen's exercise for 07/11/11 Monday I TAUGHT THE WATER EXERCISE CLASS

Jen's exercise for 07/11/11 MondayThe woman who usually teaches our water exercise class had to go to a funeral so she asked me to teach the class YEA! I had everything planned out but it was a cloudy day and it started to rain but I did go ahead with the class. I was able to get in 30 minutes of class before it thundered and we had to get out of the pool. The women who take the classes are A LOT older than me as our most of the people who live in the townhouse complex. Most of them are in there 70's and 80's, while I'm only 46.There were 7 people in class and most of them were BAD! They were really having a lot of fun at my expense...since it was raining they started singing "Singin' In The Rain" and as class went on they sang old songs I didn't know and made up a few songs...they were so BAD but it was A LOT of fun teaching them and they said I did a GREAT job!
