Guest guest
Hi Ursula, Thanks for the note. While there are many choices of treatment for Leukocytoclastic Vasculitis, our PED rheumatologist has seen the greatest success with Methotrexate. I have heard of Remicade, but have not heard that they use it for vasculitis. To answer your question, Mark's dose is considered high for a rheumatic disease. Most adults with RA get about 15 mg, Mark is on 30mg, as vasculitis can be very serious and can be fatal. Therefore, Mark has to get a CBC, liver tests and other blood tests every 21 days while he is on the Meth. They see him in clinic every 3 months and we stay in touch with a nurse during the in between times...they follow him closely in other words. Thanks for you thoughts, Autumn (Mom to Mark Cd5-Cd19 PID and )
