Guest guest
, I've been taking hydrocortisone for a few months and it really helped me a lot. As much as the armour, I think. I wanted to tell you, I've been sorta "into?" the adrenal/cortisone thang on another board, and it's kinda accepted? that you take your cortisone every three hours. That's how long it stays in your system. 6am, 9am, noon, and 3pm. I've never heard of anyone taking it every six hours and there's quite a few people on it, over there. A lot of people take a larger dose earlier, then, taper-off the mgs on the later doses. It's suppose to mimic the way your body produces more early in the day. I couldn't tell any difference from taking it - 5mgs 4 X day. Also, I never take it with food particularly? However???? If I ate an anvil for supper, I'd just poop hammers tomorrow, dig? Nothing bothers my mangut. Although, Jan takes hers with 3 shots of Tequila, but dat's just Jan. You're gonna like the hydrocortisone. I gotta go watch rednecks race around in circles at Daaaaytona. yahoo, it's saturday nite! Ben Question about Hydrocortisone Hi all,My prescription for hydrocortisone came in the mail today. Yay! I sure hope this is going to help me be able to tolerate increasing my Armour (tried last week to no avail). I really feel like I need to do that, especially lately. Hypo gets so old!The directions say to take the hydrocortisone 4 times a day, once every 6 hours. Say I take it at 7am, 1pm, 7pm, then 1am. I'd have to set my alarm and wake up in the middle of the night to do that. Would once every 5 hours be okay instead? I have a feeling it would, but just thought I would check and see what others do. Does everybody take their's with food? Would a small snack or glass of milk suffice? The bottle says to do that too.Thank you. Hope these questions don't seem silly ... Guest guest
Four times a day. I take cortisol each time I take hormones, ie Dose 1 Armour, Vit E, Dr. 's Vit, Cortisol, Vit C Dose 2 Triest with Dhea and testosterone, Cal/MG, Cortisol, Vit E, Vit C Dose 3 Armour, Vit E, Vit C, Cortisol Dose 4 Triest with dhea and testosterone, Cal/mg, Cortisol, Vit E, Vit C and Progesterone. Ideally, in a perfect world I take these every four hours. In my real busy world. I take them no sooner than three hours apart and sometimes longer. I do not have any problem with either the armour or the cortisol keeping me awake. In fact, I like to be awake, I can get things done. And by the way, since I get up at that unreal hour of 4am, I don't start taking Dose 1 until 8 am. If I did, I would run out of energy too soon. When I was very very sick in the beginning, I took Dose 1 the minute I woke up so I could get out of the bed. I think I told you that now I swing my dosing down because I stay up and work until 11-12 midnight most days. Sharon PS Woman's International says to take Cortisol with food. I don't, but yet again, I never had any tummy problems with it. Remember, this is the magic bullet to getting well for all of us. > Hi all, > > My prescription for hydrocortisone came in the mail today. Yay! Guest guest
Hi, Sharon, I said thank you before, but thanks again. :-) I was looking at your dosing schedule and wondering if there's a reason why you don't take the DHEA and the Armour at the same time? PS Women's International sent me a big sheet about the " Estrogen " they sent me (Dr. R. didn't prescribe Estrogen). But yet, the label on the bottle and the invoice both say Hydrocortisone. I sure hope it IS hydrocortisone and not estrogen! And I'm glad you're feeling better and have tons of energy. Maybe, some day for me too. Take care. > > Four times a day. Guest guest
My Triest, testosterone and dhea are all in the same capsule. They used to be in separate capsules long ago. Fax what they sent you so it can be checked out. What he does with me is not what he does with others. I am the " field test subject " . Sharon > > > > Four times a day. Guest guest
The pills are yellow, but they could be considered yellowish-green. What's " landlord green? " (is that like the color of money? haha) I was going to call the pharmacy yesterday but I figured they might be closed like everybody else. Are DHEA caplets maroon and white? Just thought I'd throw that in while I was at it ... Thanks. > What color are the pills? I would call the pharmacy. Do not take them until you know for sure what you got. It sounds like they made a mistake. The hydrocortisone capsules from WI are a pale cream yellow with green printing on them. The estrogen are a medium " landlord green. Guest guest
, The board where I was introduced to the cortisone/adrenal thing, is a thyroid board. If you search the yahoo groups for *thyroid* it's down the list a ilttle. There's 1400 members and I believe it's Shomon's site. Jan follows it too, I believe, and might be able to send you to some better sites. I just sorta happened onto it.
