Guest guest
That's so funny! You really are a runner now. It dawned on me recently that in order to run effectively you need to talk to yourself as a parent would to a child: - Did you drink enough water and electrolytes beforehand? - Did you eat your carbs? - Did you go poo-poo and pee-pee before leaving the house? - Do you have any i.d. on you in case you collapse on the road? - Be wary of strangers in your path! - Look both ways before running across the street! - Be sure and stretch and take a bath when you get home! I need to run 10 miles today or tomorrow but I had intended to do so today. However, it looks like it's on the brinks of pouring down rain, which is okay for a 3-5 mile run but this is 10 miles we're talking about here and I worry about getting blisters. Rain or shine, the training needs to get done. My half marathon is in just two weeks and I need to continue to build my endurance base. I can proudly say that I consider myself a runner now and with that comes being true to the sport and putting in the miles. I just ate my half cup oatmeal with one scoop protein powder and a serving of electrolyte jelly beans and will head out of here in about 30 minutes to hit the pavement. In spite of the gray day I'm looking forward to it More later.
