Jen's exercise for 06/09/11 Thursday Kathy 's Project YOUI went to the Detroit Zoo yesterday and it turned out to be a GREAT day to go! It was cloudy for most of the time we were there and it was cool not HOT like it was Tuesday and Wednesday. My mom got a wheelchair and I pushed her around the park. I'm happy that my neighbor (she's a docene at the zoo) told me to wear gloves, otherwise the handles on the wheelchair would have cut into my hands OUCH!Our other neighbor Wilma also came. She has a bad hip and knee but she did pretty good, but I bet she was sore today. I wore my fit bit and we walked about 3 miles at the zoo! We rode the train to the back of the zoo and walked forward. We checked out the Polar bear exhibit that includes a very cool underwater tunnel that people walk

through. They also have 3 kinds of seals in the exhibit. We saw the gorillas (They mooned us LOL,) the chimps, various birds etc... Near the front we went to probably my favorite exhibit, the butterfly house WOW they were beautiful! I especially liked the blue butterfly, I forgot the name of it...DARN! But I did take a few pictures so hopefully I will be able to post them soon, if my scanner will cooperate.I did all of that PLUS I had the first night of the sand co-ed 4's league I joined. It's a bit of a drive but it was worth it! I had a lot of fun although we only had 2 of the regular team there...so next week will be like "week 1" again. We played 4 games and I did pretty good for not playing volleyball much and not playing on a sand volleyball for 4 years!AND my patio is finished (the bricks are down) but now I have a lot of flower planting to do....after it stops raining

here that is...Today, I took off...my knee was sore from the rainy 30 degree cooler weather...plus, I'm WORN OUT!Tomorrow I'm going to a salad luncheon where I live so that should be fun, I hope. Jen
